Is heaven an actual place with "streets of gold" in some other univers or dimension where we all can possibly go? Or is it just used in books like the bible as symbolic. Could heaven just be that when you die, you die with peace knowing you've done what you were supposed to in life and followed all of "God's Rules"?

What do you want it to be? Paul taught there are three heavens. Each has a different degree of glory. At the lowest level we will be like the heaven with streets of gold. People will be happer than they can imagine. In the highest we will live the kind of life God lives.

Wikipedia says: Heaven is an afterlife concept found in many religions or spiritual philosophies.

We have always wondered about what Heaven is. Is it a state of mind, like Nervana? Or is it an actual place where God sits on His throne and watches over us, making sure we follow His "rules"? Is it symbolic or real? Many people believe in heaven, many people don't believe in this idea.

I believe when we come to an authentic understanding of who God is, and who WE are, we know that Heaven is what we create it. It is a state of Consciousness which we all manifest as a reality. Heaven is here and Now and you don't get there by following "God's Rules", you are there because it is our natural state to be.

Well i believe that Jesus said in the bible i go to prepare a place for you. So if this was to be paradise, and heaven has streets of gold, then this place is a garbage dump, streets of gold, mansion, whatever as long as i make it there who cares about the rest.

There are 3 heavens mentioned in the bible.
1 is where the birds fly or planes.
2 is outer space.
3 is where Gods throne is!
No where in the bible does it say that the reward of the saints(Christians) is heaven. The reward is the Kingdom of God & it will be here on earth.

heaven is the place where you go forever if you guided yourself with god rules ,its a very beautiful place every one wanna be there ,heaven design is nothing you can imagine how ever there you will find what you love what you need ,heaven is full with the most great palaces ever there is the most royal food , beds , mermaids(men, women) but because of our limited brains we could never get how it does really look like ,but we shouldn't say it doesn't exact because then we are disbelieving in god power .

Sure heaven exists. Otherwise there would be no place to house all the virgins the suicide bombers get after they blew themself up. What i wonder about where do they house the mothers In Law. In hell may be.

It would probably be your second choice there. What would be the point of paved streets of gold. You wouldnt be able to get rich of it. It would be a huge waste. Heaven is what ever you make it be.

If you go get a NIV version of the bible and take the time to read it from cover to cover, you may understand then. It's in their, so don't skip over the good parts.

It's easy to read this version.

Have fun.
