No one does. Everyone has their opinion. Why are questions like these still being asked when there is no answer and never will be?

behind or in?
behind - I have no idea where to go with that one. Is that a trick question? Perhaps you really dont believe in the bible and want to give your opinion of the source of the bible. If so, then the question is not for me to answer, since you would be disagreeing with what I have learned.
in - Only if we live for ever will we ever know all of the truth in the Bible - and that is by going over and over it again and again. I know some of the truths, and still working on the rest, and refining what I do know.

The Bible is truth, miraculously recorded by dozens of men, hundreds of years apart. Out of all the Monotheistic faiths, it is the only one with coherent, congruous scriptures. Judaism is admittedly incomplete, Islam has this weird add-on called the Koran, and Mormons have the Book of Mormon (these are the other 'Judaic faiths', and the only other major monotheistic religions). The Old Testament clearly, explicitly foretells the New Testament. No Koran, no Book of Mormon mentioned even once.
More than this though, I know the Bible is absolute truth because I have seen the incredible power of its words in my life. It will completely transform your relationships, and bring true light to your life, but you have to be willing to accept the truth, even if it is uncomfortable or painful. Absolute truth does not cater to anyone's whims.

The best way to get to the "truth behind the Bible" is to read it.

Yeah. I've taken many courses that covered it. I know about its origins as different oral traditions that were weaved together into the Jewish Bible, the translations into Greek, the various gospels and other things written at the end of the 1st century CE, then Constantine's commission for Bible, so they finally put a text together, the use of it in Latin, all those people who were burned for translating it into the vernacular, the discovery of older texts, books left out, and new scholarly translations.

The Bible is truth. Behind it, before it, above it and below it. The Truth of God.

Yes, Luigi Cascioli told me in his book, "The Fable Of Christ."
Hebrews kicked out of Egypt for carrying venereal disease (plagues).
Hebrew priests made up whole story of Yahweh/Jehovah, Solomon, &c. around 600 BCE. Hebrews were always pantheistic blood sacrificers.
John Of Gamala was a revolutionary Mosaic zealot and brigand, not a peace loving emmisary of god. The Jesus myth was attached to his story of terrorism and execution hundreds of years later.
