Take some time out of your busy schedule. Just read the manual. It will really help you a lot, much more than reading these sites. Then insert the battery, memory card, power on, frame the shot, say cheese or some such funny thing and then press the shutter button. It is that simple.

Read the manual to do that
Dial up auto
power on
switch to take the picture( not show the picture)
push the shuttle buttom and keep on till the picture on you lcd stop
so you have new picture in your camera

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
