hahaa. We are all like this my friend. It is really hard to be in a frame of mind as "worship" during the day. When is this time for you?
" I only really feel it at night when I finish devotions. Does someone have an answer?"
You just said it..right here. You were at the HEIGHT of prayer. That would be like thinking about a shower all day and actually do it when you get home, and you feel the results.
Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Faith on Trial
1 Peter 4:12-19
Some days we feel as if our faith is on trial and Satan is running a cross-examination that challenges our confidence in God. But the only important question is this: Are you going to believe what the Lord says, no matter what He allows into your life?
The heavenly Father always has a purpose for testing believers' faith. He stretches us so that we will have a greater capacity to serve Him. Though we may sometimes feel we are at our limit, the process actually occurs gently, like stretching a new rubber band a little at a time. With each extension, we are able to accomplish more for His glory.
It is often easy to trust God for certain things more than others, but He desires our complete dependence, regardless of the situation. That is why He will test His children in the same area repeatedly until they can successfully bear up under the pressure. Afterward, they will be able to testify to non-Christians about what the Bible says and also about their own experience of divine help in dark valleys.
We will taste both success and failure as our faith is in the process of growing. The disciple Peter had a share of both. But each time the Lord stretched him, his capacity for service became greater. In the book of Acts, it is Peter who fearlessly preaches at Pentecost and also heals a lame man without a shred of doubt. (Acts 2:14-36; 3:1-7)
Our faith will be put on trial. If we are wise believers, we will respond by trusting God to stretch and develop our conviction until we are the men and women He desires us to be.
Good Question. I hope this helps.

as a young christian the mistake that I feel that I made was trying to keep a "feeling" as opposed to believing in "the way" or "my walk".
Like married couples in their first years are so passionate. After 50 years, they still love each other but they aren't so "kissy, huggy".
Focus on "the walk" (following God's word), and not so much on the feeling. Think of God almost like water. It's always there, but you don't really think about it until you're thirsty. It's always in you. You need it. But you also have a life (and God wants you to have a life).
I will pray for you (will you pray for me too?)
take care

Because praying is not special. If you make praying, devotion, and anything you do with God like a special "big deal" event, then you don't have time to do it very often. Praying should be do like everything things such as "scratching yourself when you are itch." You should just treat praying to God as normal as anything you normally would do, then it is just a "piece of cake." You'll feel God is your friend ready to take your "phone call" anytime anywhere.

I'm a Christian and I feel this way sometimes also. I think for me, it's my busy life style that separates me from God many times. I just don't set the quality, quiet time aside to spend with him. Even though I am constantly praying throughout the day, it's hard for it not to become too routine and not straight from my heart. God knows your heart. Don't let the enemy make you think that your relationship with God is fading. Just because we don't always feel that physical feeling that God is present with us, doesn't mean he isn't there. Sometimes, we feel his presence stronger than other times and that's OK. You probably feel his presence stronger at night because you are taking the time to spend with him. I bet he loves to spend this time with you.

Maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself. After you read your devotions, it is very common to be in that deep connection, you are feeling good about yourself and then the next day you get right back into the "muck" of life. Don't beat yourself up, over it. God doesn't. Even Jesus had his low moments, in the garden.

I used to be the same way, What makes you fall in love with being christian? Is it God or is it the community that draws you in? It could also be the way your pray, are you being sincer and letting everything out or are you just trying to impress God with the prayers and words that you know.

I think as Christians we go through seasons. Just like that song by Barlow Girl. You know, how it says"I can't feel You by my side. So I'll hold tight to what I know. You're here and I'm never alone". There are times when we don't feel His presence, we just have to go by what we know. I find that when I want to feel that closeness to Him I just begin thanking Him for all the little things and when I do that it reminds me of how special He makes me feel and I began to feel His presence.

If you wanna think about God more, just try and think throughout the day about all of the pain and sufferring that his son had to go through for all of us. He is always watching us and listening to us, not just at night.
