I just got my braces today...they only put the brackets though...And it hurts like hell...I cant speak properly i keep lisping...Well this agony and pain go away within a couple of days???

Until about the time they come off. You'll always be aware of them but let that me a reminder of how nice your teeth will look for the rest of your life. Good luck

oh man after a few weeks you'll get used to the brackets being there.... they will feel better with the wire on. But once the wire is on then you have another problem because your teeth will hurt... and that will take a couple months depending on how um 'misplaced' your teeth are. Once your teeth are practically straight every time you get the wire tightened it wont hurt as bad.

It took me about a week to get used to em i still got em on ive had em for like 6 months but i just used the wax at the end of it so it doesnt cut my mouth apart like it did for the first 2 days that i didnt use it

It should take a few days at first. They will adjust them later, though. This will cause more pain, but will not last as long.

it hurts a lot at first and you will probably get used to it in a few days to a week. if it still hurts afterward you can always buy a numbing gel from drug stores and it temporarily numbs your mouth.

You never get used to them. Because when you start to you have to go get them tighted. Then eventually you get soooo tired of them because they hurt soooo bad , and that you have to keep cleaning them are you will have train tracks stains after you get them off, and once you do finally get them off you have to wear a retainer FOREVER, that you always loose at least once. And then you are stuck with this stupid smile that everyone who wore braces know and asked. Oh you wore braces?

At most a week. Depending on how bad the situation is with yours. I had them, but be very punctual on your appointments so that you don't have them for long.

About a week. When they hook everything up and tighten, you might be sore another week. Take some Advil.

yeah, youll get used to it, like you can get used to everything else...its worth teh pain tho, rather have a pretty smile than bad teeth, good luck!

it took me about two weeks to get used to it, just use lots of dental wax, that helped a lot.
