This is a normal religious belief.
As a young catholic I was taught to hate protestants, in fact I was taught to hate anyone who wasn't a catholic as they were sinners and would be condemned to the fires of hell for eternity..
But we were especially taught to hate protestants.

Well, it really depends on the Muslim. I don't agree with people who say that Muslims care more about being terrorists and stuff like that- in their veiw, they proabably aren't terrorists. However, there are Radical Muslims- and many think that Muslims shouldn't be friends with Non-Muslims for their own reasons. However, there are plenty who do not have issues with people who are not. Really, you need to keep in mind that not everything is going to translate straight acrossed, and still mean the same thing. Take japanese, for example. If you were to simply translate, without changing the sentance structure, mush of it wouldn't make any sense at all to us. While there are many that may feel not being a friend makes you an enemy, it is most likely due to the fact that you do not know the unknwn person, and therefore, they could possibly pose a threat. In that sense, then yes, someone who you are not friedns with are your enemy. However, I believe most people aren't out there to hurt you for the sake of hurting someone.

muslim can meet with all. They can exchange everything. If its not happen then non muslim will not see the flavor of islam. U saw the situation in the time of Prophet (SM). All non muslim came to Madina to know islam n meet with muslims in different places. One non muslim needed at best three days to enter in islam. So muslim wont avoid non muslims rather they meet with them to show them the pride and activities.
If muslims dont show those people the right way then in the day of judgement Allah will ask them about the misdeed............
Islam comes in this earth not by sowrd but by attitude and behaviour...

I'm not being hateful, just honest, when I say this...I've only met two Muslims both males. One from Saudi Arabia and the other is from Lebanon. The one from Saudi Arabia was a total meat head. He was married to a woman from a northern state and they have two daughters and a son. The son was placed on a higher pedestal than the daughters and it was quite obvious. It was also obvious by his remarks that he did not like the USA and couldn't wait to get back to his homeland. With his attitude I could not be his friend period Muslim or not.
The one from Lebanon is very quiet, almost to quiet. He will only speak when spoken too. Shy ? Reserve ? I don't know. All I know is that he is not interested in making friends with non-Muslims.

You need to know more about Islam.
Muslim is ordered to keep in touch in the best way with all people.
Read Quran.

If this were true, then how could Muslim's be allowed to marry both Jews and Christians? What about business and neighbors?
I found a really informative site about it, that specifically answers this question, and more.

Perhaps our local Muslim apologists [Aissa, Invincible, Muslim etc.] will get out their magic Taqiyya bags and pull out a definition of the phrase 'House of War' for us all and explain it to us in this context. That is the key to your question.

In the holy quran stated that we must be always be good to all being. Snce when we muslim cannot be friends to non-muslims.
I encourage my own kids to be friends with all religions, for them to understand human behaviour. So that they will be more learned human. We must always make more friends than enemy.

i know a muslim guy who has lots of non-muslim friends , i guess he didn't get the memo. and lets not forget anybody who doesn't take christ as their savior burns for all eternity in a firey pit . that doesn't sound very accepting of other peoples religions.
