3 things
1) modern christianity has passages like this debunked by jesus, who took powerful stands against past ideas from the old testament of tough justice, predjudice against women, the infirm and the homosexuals (jesus does defend homosexuals, most people just chose to ignore those scriptures).
2) If you are jewish, technically this is scriptural law. Law is law. Though reformed judiasm takes a pretty progressive stance against arm amputation on unclean women :-P
3) of course, my suggestion is remove the offending ho's arm first, to make an example out of her. Later ask questions about morality and reconcile it with your specific religious interpretation after.

Maybe but be careful. It says wife that is attempting to rescue husband. It also is in the laws for the Israelites. Finally it says the woman reaches out with her hand and does not say uses the knee.
One must be very careful or he will be starting a new religion with his concepts. So do be careful about what is said and what is read.
A passing comment for those who see all the concepts of the law are changed with Jesus Ha Ha Did not Jesus say, " if the hand offends thee cut it off"
Do have a great day and read that verse again before you put the girlfriends arm on the chopping block. If she did use her knee, why not cut off the knee? Thats your call OK!

Yes, it says what it says. But why are so many people answering assuming they know the reasons behind such a law, such as assuming sexism??
I don't know the motive but I'll offer another possibility based on the context. The husband was getting his *** kicked by another man. The wife attempts a rescue by seizing the other man's genitals--she means to harm those stranger's twins, daddy-o; you know, take control of the situation. Well dontcha know God put a man's reproductive toolbox on the outside; a woman's on the inside, nice and safe. It's reasonable that the law is implying that whatever they're fighting about (probably something important like whose camel is faster) ain't worth potentially sentencing a brawler by making him a childless eunuch--so don't intervene in that way, heroines! Strong deterrent to prevent an extreme sentence for a lesser crime.
Or put another way--what if a fightin' Hebrew woman's ovaries and eggs dangled from her abdomen (sorry for the image), she was beating up a married Jewess over who had the nicer tent, and the latter's husband came by and flattened her egg-carrying ovaries--would it be sexist to cut off his hand for his cutting off her ability to have a family?

Yes it says exactly what you think it says. Here it in writing:
11When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:
12Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.
God is preparing for a nation that should become the holiest among all the other nations in the world. He is preparing himself, The Holy God to take a body like the body of men and to become a man in a holy nation. That was the age of enforcing the law of God.
But be of sheer, God came in Jesus Christ and has redeemed mankind and now we are living by His grace saved and our sins paid.

no, it says if his wife grabs you by theballs, you should chop off her hand. Now mind you, this was written at a time when women were considered unclean, not people, and only good for sex.

Reality_Buff,
Yes. If she grabs her husband's opponents balls while he is fighting, she has to get her hand cut off, and no one can look at her with pity.

Yeah, and if you have sex and orgasm, you're ritually unclean as well. (You're really in trouble if she's having her "impurity" that day!)
