I've been really depressed for the past seven years and I've gotten hundreds of different explanations and diagnosis from variouse psycologists, but nobody seems to be able to help me. I'm only 21 and I'm tired of life already. I was told that I'm bipolar two days ago by a psycologist from my home town, but I've been told so many different things that I just don't know how to make myself feel better. I'm a recovering drug addict and I fear that I might relapse if I don't get the appropriate help soon. Can anybody help me? Please!

Your problem is that you haven't figured out what life is about quite yet. It's coming soon. Sometimes, when we are young, we dream of a grandiose and extravagant future for ourselves, and all the possibilities of adulthood. Then we get to be adults, and slowly over time, realize that life is something above fame and riches.

It's about bouncing around in a whitewater raft going down the Colorado River. It's about squinting your eyes to see your baby after it's born, and feeling guilty b/c you just want to sleep. Life is going home in the evening to a family who loves my company. I am free-est when I am just me. Silly, clumsy, curious, and loud.

Sometimes I have to sit back, slow down, and let all of the life flow in. It's waiting there for you. Just look. Close your eyes. What is your passion? What are your dreams? Never think you can't do something. No goal is too high when you believe in yourself. Find strength in your own strength.

Life is making love for the first time. Not all the trial and error truckload of crap that most sex accounts for. But real love....passionate true....making love....it's so beautiful that it's empowering. Life is also riding a horse, letting him gallop for the first time, and you feel this uneasy pit in your gut, but this thrill flowing through your veins b/c the wind is parting your hair and your body is pounded with the impact of the hoof beat. It's amazing.

These are my little life lessons...these are what life has been for me. These moments of grasping freedom. Facing my fears. Learning the comfort of being honest. You will learn what your own life means to you, just don't give up hope, and remember that the meaning of your life is made up of what meaning you put into your life.

First of all you need to understand you can't make a better life for yourself on your own you need God. Second you must forgive yourself and let go of the past its all behind you now. Lastly take one day at a time. Begin to thank God for a new life and thank Him for getting off the drugs, there are alot of people who can't get off simply b/c they are so addicted. One more thing, do you really believe what the doctors are saying? If you dont believe what they are saying then dismiss it and know that what they say does not define who you are. You define who you are. What you believe about yourself is more important than what others say and believe about you. At the end of the day it's just you, right?!

Psychologists only know how to deal with the mental aspect of humans, the Lord works on the heart.
In Christ is life, apart from Him is sorrow, solitude and death. Pray...Pray....Pray.
Ask Him to come into your life and make you whole, ask Him to give you strength, to deliver you completely from your addictions and to lead you in the way you should go.
Go to a Bible believing church this Sunday and tell the Pastor and all that will listen of your new found trust in Christ.
Begin a counseling process that will guide you in the next few months to solidify your foundation and set you firm on this path and trust in a Christian friend whom you can confide in and draw encouragement from.
The moment your place your trust in Christ, the living begins, everything else is just the beginning of that walk.

There's really not much anyone on here can do for you. Obviously you want help, thats the first step. Then you go ask these questions to people who are professionals, and will take you seriously, and not just keep ignoring you

do any of these doctors offer you meds for the situation? you have a brain chemistry imbalance and you need help getting yourself into some sort of balance. however since you did drugs they may be afraid to give you anything. get into a group therapy at least.
