Why should I even care, why should we as Christians even bother with a society bent on its own destruction, why should we bother with people who would rather see us and our philosophy and way of life disolved? Why should we care about people who through direct action or inaction show us on a daily basis that we do not matter to them?

I think the first thing we need to do is just stop worrying about what other people are doing. We certainly help our friends, family, people who reach out to us - but people do what they will do. Everyone of us has tried to tell our parents some health thing to try and 9 out of 10 of us are not even heard because we are the kids, what do we know.

The same is true in religion - and it doesn't matter. People are each on their own path in their own individual relationship with God - whether they know it or not, or even perceive it in those terms. There is always a way out and when (and if) they decide they need our help, they will come to us.

I don't think everyone wants to see christianity dissolved - I think many of us just want christians to keep it themselves as they want us to keep whatever we believe to ourselves. Hey, "if they don't want to hear the truth, there is no sense in talking about it" would probably be true on both sides, right?

So fine. That's the whole point of seperation of church and state - not to end the church, but to ensure that no one (and no one's kid) is subjected to another's religious views or teachings. It is simply to say, we each want to teach and live as we please and we don't want to be subject to another's religious rules. Simple. You do your thing and everyone else can do their's, right? No hurt feelings, just freedom to choose and live.

Peace!

You need a spiritual recharge dude! Have you considered a retreat? Take some time out and Let the Lord fill you with His love, heal your hurts and melt your heart of stone. Do you get fellowship with other believers? This is why God says it is not good for man to be alone. Also it says two together can fight back to back but a triple braided cord cannot easily be broken(in other words bond with some brothers in the Lord that you can talk to and share with and pray with.

See, you're looking at it all wrong. It is Christians who want to erase the SECULAR way of life. Secularists and atheists just want Christians to stop passing judgement, calling names, flipping people off, and pushing their beliefs on everyone else. Stop doing that and we'll be fine. Secular is the default position... you add religion and you get chaos.

I truly TRULY do not actively try to dissolve Christianity or religion... Christians and other religious folk ARE trying to actively dissolve my secular nation. I'm constantly being told I'm wrong, that I need to pray and that I'm an evil person for not taking my son to church. I believe indoctrinating a child into the hate-filled Christian religion is tantamount to child abuse... but I'd never say that directly, in person, to someone's face the way Christians have said similar to me.

So how is being persecuted again? Because I really want to know how Christians are being persecuted. It's just that non-Christians are finally speaking up after having our rights dissolved and trampled on for years and we're just not going to sit idly by and take it anymore.

Stay calm. Just a little while longer and the Lord shall desend from heaven with the voice of the arch angel and the dead in Christ shall rise. And those that are saved shall be caught up to meet him in the air.

simply because God commanded us to, and our preeminent goal in life should be obedience to Him. I struggle with the same thing quite often, and these verses help... Matthew 22:37-40, John 15:18-19, John 14:15,21,23...I'll be praying for you, and for God to help you through this!

because the bible says you should. caring doesnt mean forcing your beliefs on. you can care for others who dont care for you you know. Jesus loved everyone the same, he didnt just love people who listened to him. Perhaps you should demonstrate christian behavior to everyone, maybe you wont then get as much negative responses. if you act like this your just showing more non-christians what christians "are really like"

Because Jesus did!
Jesus said when you are persucuted for my name sake..rejoice, and be exceedingly glad.
Jesus came to die for this same world..and when you, were lost and undone without God..aren't you glad that there was someone that cared enough for you...
Get a grip..this is who we are, and this is what we do..put on your whole armour..and go out there again...be the one that God has called you to be.

For the same reason someone cared enough about you to tell you the truth

You know the answer to that. Because that's what we are led to do. Maybe something you say, or maybe your kindness will change someones opinion and they will listen to the word.
Don't give up! God bless you!

because God cares...
and He would like you, me and every single christian to show the world how much he loves us..
He wants us to introduce care in this world of destruction.... show peace to those stuck in war...
in other words he wants us to be his representatives...
Love these people because he loves them... that will prove your love for him..
