~~that depends, 1. does she want a dog, 2. is she allowed to have a dog where she is living, 3. does she like that kind of dog, 4. can you afford to get the dog, 5. is there room for the dog to exercise, 5. does she want the responsibillity of a dog, 6. can she afford the upkeep and maintainance of the dog.. ie vet bills, food... etc, 7. is the dog trained to attack, 8. does she have children and if so, is the dog child friendly, 9. does she like dogs?~~

German Shepherds are beautiful animals They are smart, loyal, obedient. I have one,and love him..He would save me with his life. However, he really only like me and my family.You have to socialize those kind of dogs very well, or it might not work for her, be carefull what breeder you get your dog from. Make sure the other dogs are friendly in the kennel.If you want to scare someone away-get a mutt that is dark-and just looks scary, that should do the trick.

A pump actioin shotgun is a very persuasive sound to hear should anyone come around. Seriously, german sheperds are very good animals, but they are animals and you just never know what they may or may not do. If you are that concerned you may want to move somewhere where you or she feels safer.

i guess that would be a good idea, considering dogs are the most loyal animals of all. Ask ur gf if she will feel safe and wont feel intimidated/scared of the dog.

That's a tough one, dog or 9mm? The dog would be great as long as it is well trained. You may want to keep in mind that they are not always "family" pets.

i would say no because it could get angry so buy your girl friend and golden retriever you buy it because it is playful and cute so forget german shepard get her golden retriver so it will keep her safe and play with her
