why shouldn't it be okay?long distance relationships are slightly more challenging then normal relationships, but that doesnt make them any better or worse. The maturity of the inviduals involved, communication and commitment all are keys to any healthy relationship long distance or not.

It's not silly... I have this friend who is having a long distance relationship for more than 5 years... Of course, you need a long amount of patience and trust to go through all that. That's the biggest problem with long distance relationship... It's not communication since we have phones and e-mails nowadays... It's the physical presence which troubles most couples...

Long distance relationship would work if the couples are real serious with each other and trusts each other...

Very silly...especially if you guys were involved in a sexual relationship because the 'sex withdraw' for a man is far greater than it is for the woman. Your long distance man will tell you eveything you want to hear but at night...I gurantee you...he's out on the prowl! In his head and heart he know's he loves you but his body is yearning for the physical relationship... with men the head of their ding dong speaks louder than their actual head that has the brain in it!!!! I know from experience...I'm divorced after only being on a summer internship for 6 weeks he went and poked and prodded where he shouldn't have!

Sure it is okay to have a long distance relationship.
Trust is a major factor
And it is much harder than having a relationship when you are together so you have to keep that in mind
In one now and it is killin me to be apart
But love does strange and wonderful things to people

be cool...

I would have said no, but something happened to me in last week and I say yes.

It entirely depends on how positive you two are despite the long distance!!

ABSOLUTELY! IF THE TWO OF YOU LOVE EACH OTHER, WHY DOES DISTANCE MATTER?. IF HE'S THE TYPE OF MAN THAT CHEATS, THEN HIM LIVING NEXT DOOR TO YOU IS NOT GOING TO STOP HIM...BELIEVE ME I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE! ACTUALLY, IT WASN'T NEXT DOOR, IT WAS A STREET OVER IN THE NEXT NEIGHBORHOOD. WE HAD BEEN SEEING EACH OTHER FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS, WE SAW EACH OTHER EVERYDAY AND HE WAS STILL WITH ANOTHER WOMAN ( HIS SO-CALLED FRIEND) THE ENTIRE TIME. SO, AS LONG AS YOU'VE GOT TWO MATURE PEOPLE THAT LOVE EACH OTHER AND REALLY WANT TO MAKE THINGS WORK...GO FOR IT!!! GOOD LUCK!

No, I did it myself(I was in Orlando fl, she was in houston, tx.). Me and my wife had a long distance relationship for 5 years before we got married almost 3 years ago. But damn, its hard not seeing the one you love.

No- it is not silly at all. I was in the similar situation. Now I am married to that girl with one kid here in USA ( the girl was in China ) :). I am enjoying and feeling happy about what I believed in.
