Obsession involves driving past a person's house constantly and continually calling them to check up on them. Jealousy is such a wasted emotion .Why stay with someone you don't trust.

Dictionary.com defines it as:
the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire, etc.
I think the word domination is the key here. It is one thing to be jealous, that is a human weakness. However... if he is sitting at home when she goes out at night unable to do anything but think about her flirting with other guys behind his back, THAT is obsession.
I'm not saying that things are healthy up until that point. I'm saying that's the breaking point between someone you don't really want to date and a complete nut job.

Obsession, Control, Dominating, Posessive, are all words that shouldn't be described in the same sentance as RELATIONSHIP.
They do not go together...kinda like gassoline and a match or lighter.
