Because I want to date a muslim man, I know alot about all the history and worship. I am fine with that even thought about converting, because I am christian, and the religion is similiar. I just dont know about all the differences in relationships and such. Could use some help. Did some research online already about muslims. But I want to know about everyday life and how it affects a muslim, and the beliefs. Is his parents going to force me to marry him, or convert? Any help given will be appriciated.

I asked him about dating outside of his religion, he said it was ok as long as she is christian or jew, and she understands being a muslim, and to remember Ramadan, and how important it is to him.

Well, few things taken into consideration are that :-
1) Muslims aren't suppose to have pre-marital sex.

2) Dating isn't even allowed in Islam, as it leads eventually to sex/adultery, which is Prohibited before Marriage. But, since its modern era Muslims do usually date now, as long as it doesn't lead to pre-marital sex, i think its ppl own choice. But, it indeed is still a Sin, it doesnt matter what anyone think, 'coz if u do a sin then know it is a sin instead of justifying it, as u will be able to repent later.
Point is : Make sure NOT to have Pre-marital sex coz its a HUGE Sin, 'to date or not' is a person's own choice (but it is a sin as well).

3) Since u r Christian, he can marry u even (there might be a little resistance from the family, but if he is with u, then everything will be fine).

4) The life of a Muslim is a normal life, no different than any other, except for the fact, if a person is a good Muslim, he pray 5 times a day, try to refrain from bad/evil deeds, and fast in the Month of Ramadan.
I guess thats what u need to know.

babe it really depends on what country he comes from. I know they say muslim are all the same but they re not. Some countries like the Gulf (Saudi, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar) those countries follow tradition more. You have other countries who have a certain way that the all the men from that particular country do or accept in women.
I really need to know where is he from in order to help.
Plus word of advice, there is no site that would explain what islim is about, every country or every person (muslims) has his own explanation, for example the head cover, some think its a must some dont. Some muslims allow women to work some just flat out refuse. I need the country.
I'll get back to you question if you write the country then I can answer if not then my advice would be, ask about the life in his country, how would his family feel, what would be expected of you, how are his female family members living like do they work, are their heads covered? do they drive etc.... ask what would happen hen you do have children, would they be raised to be strick muslims, would they be allowed to visit your family ? If there was a divirce what ould your situation be? what will happen to the kids. Take your time and think about it. When you have all the answers only then take the decision.
PS if your guy is from the Gulf region then I assure you, you would get hell frm the mother, they never welcome outsiders. It would be very very difficult.

not all muslims will follow islamic laws restrcitly. so he may go farther to even touch ur hands. but in Islam, a man and woman shouldn't be alone without being married. so i recommend you guys meet in a public places (not a hotel room).

his parents will wish that you convert but will never force u to do it unless you understand the main reason of converting to Islam. it's very important to understand that you shouldn't convert to Islam because of the guy, but because u have believed.

If you think that Christianity and Islam are similar then you don't know very much about either one. Your making a statement like that leads me to believe that you are Christian in name only. If you had ever actually been in a relationship with Christ you could not consider relinquishing that for anything much less Islam.

Here are some things you read before you head down that destructive slippery slope.

I'd run away if i were you. You are an infidel in his view if he truly is a muslim. he will want to convert you, and if he cant, he will bomb your apartment.
