it depends on how you feel about the person. if you guys share a connection that you doubt you can feel with anyone else... you long to see them, so your heart is reminding you how much you care. when you forget, the person was just (sadly) someone temporary in your life

I would have to say it depends how strong the bond is in relationship and how long of an absence. My husband was away for 16 months and I couldn't wait till they day we were reunited. We wrote often and when time allowed we spoke on the phone. So in my opinion I would say fonder. We are closer now than we were before he left.

I would like to say "fonder", but have recently found out that it made someone "forget". I suppose it depends on the people, the situation, and the other influences that are involved. When someone is focused on another, time and space don't really matter. When the focus shifts, or is distracted, it's all over.

Can do both I guess.
The longer absences over time would probably make you tend to deal with the absence easier...but if love involved, you never forget.
I know that it can also make you sad...feel like not so important anymore
But the sayin is that it does make the heart grow fonder...
not so sure
be cool...

I think it depends on how long the absence is for...and what happens during. And of course, the base of the relationship...if it's strong, nothing can shake it. If not, then we forget...sad but true.

I say it makes it forget...I used to love this guy but I noticed that after not seeing or hearing from him for some time, I started caring less and less...
