This question is directed mostly at women i guess. In high school in the upper grades meaning junior/senior does it matter if a guy isn't popular but the girl is? Do most girls in this age depend on popularity as a determining factor or not? For instance is it possible or likely for a guy that no body knows his name to go out with a fairly popular hot girl?

Of course it is definitely possible... But then, it would of course depend on the girl. There could eb this chance that the girl would also be looking for those guys who are also popular... But then, for all I know, going out with a popular girl is okay... There's no such thing as loser... Unless you are so into believing that you are one...
Think positively and be yourself... Know her better and through that, you both can see if a relationship can work out ^-^

What kind of crap is that? Who are you to label people as "losers"? So what if nobody knows the guy's name? That makes him a loser? I'm 17 and I like a guy for himself, not how many people know his name.

yeah i was never popular but i dated quite a few girls who were. i wouldn't say i was a loser, but who would call themselves a loser anyway. it happens. im not even that good looking.

hey. its not really possible in high school. however, once high school is over all that stuff goes away. youll be surprised who becomes friends with who.
