Even if it meant possible harm to themselves...let's remember the good samaritan story.

According to the story about "The Good Samaritan," the person dying on the road was easily recognized as someone from a different religion & helping this person put the helper in danger.

I would help any man or woman anywhere anytime. It matters not what their race, religion, or creed may be. Would you do the same? I hope so. If we all help one another, this will be a much better place in which to live. I feel a song coming on...

Spread Your Love by the Holy Spirit through Cal Jennings

Ki, Chi, The Source, The Force
Are just different names for God.
It's really very simple,
But to you it may seem odd.

It's through the Holy Spirit
That God spreads Jesus love.
So evr'yone let's all join hands
And spread peace from above.

The world is fille with hatred and war,
Greed, lust, violence, and sin.
We've got to fight a spiritual war
That first comes from within.

So if you call God Allah,
Buddah, Krishna, or Id,
It's time to come together in peace.
It's about time that we did.

Refrain:

Spread your love throughout the world.
Let your light shine bright.
It's time to break the darkness
And turn on our inner light.

If I felt no immediate danger to myself I would render aid, after calling 9-1-1. I am a First Responder and I know the basics, but if the person did not seem rational then I would not risk my own life to save theirs. And this has nothing to do with Muslim, Jew, or any other Religion. It just has to do with it being a person in need. I mean come on do you actually think us Christians are going to see someone lying in the road and say, "Are you a Muslim?" before we help them? I would just help.

This reminds me of a VeggieTales video we had for my son about two cities on the tops of two adjoining hills and how one would not help its OWN people, much less those of another group. A child of the other group helped one of the opposite and they all learned something.

I do think some good Christians would help him, quite honestly. I've known some good Christians. A good portion of other Christians would help and then spend quite a bit of time tooting their own horn to let others know how good they are. And still others would walk by with darned good reasons for NOT helping... they're late for church, late for work, have kids to pick up, it's raining, etc. The rest, statistically speaking, would walk by without a second thought.

But to be honest, I think you'd find the same statistics from any other given group as well. I know plenty of selfless atheists, muslims, mormons, etc. who would help and never give it a second though, who would help and brag, who wouldn't help but have a good excuse and those who wouldn't help at all.

I think that has less to do with relilgion than it has to do with how someone was raised and there are too many variables in place than to make it so cut and dried, black and white.

The next question would, logically, be should we expect more from Christians who are supposed to be emulating Jesus? One would think... but they are only human afterall.

I consider myself a Christian. I'm a Minister. I was also a medic in the Army and an Ambulance Attendant in New York. So I would stop and help anyone, I wouldn't poll him first to decide if he deserved my assistance. Put a bullet in anyone, Christian, Muslim, Black, White, Cop, or Killer, they all bleed the same.

Well, regardless of religion or race, I would find it impossible to see a man dying on the road and just walk on by. I would get help for him. I think most people would.

i wouldn't help him because i dont know how to handle a dying person especially if there is blood. but i will call for help. the bottom line is, we are all human beings living in the same planet. stripped of everything, we are all essentially the same so we should be more compassionate.

Does a person wear a sign that says muslim?
no - your question assumes that he has some type of identifing mark.

There is none, so your question makes no sense.

Keep Trying.

No Harm Done.

Cathy N,
First of all, how would I know that he was Muslim?

Secondly, will that be in Iraq on the same road that 50 suicide bombers were that week alone?

If it's in my own country, and there isn't anything about mass scattered suicide bombers trying to act like they need help, then I would help him.

I would help anyone that needed help. We as Christians are suppose to love everyone. It does not matter what religion they are. When someone needs help, then you should help them.
