My seven year old has cancer (Leukemia) and she is still here with me. I will keep my faith in God, no matter what happens. I wish I knew why a couple of her friends from the hospital have passed away recently. It breaks my heart in so many pieces. But if I did not have Jesus in my heart, I know that things would be worse for me and my daughter right now. Unfortunately, even Christian's suffer, sometimes I think we suffer even more because Satan hates God and he hates us for loving God.

You have to understand God's Law of Justice and reincarnation to understand the full meaning of suffering. When most people look at a child, they see a "new" being who is innocent with a "clean slate". In actuality, this being has a spirit who's had many incarnations before it's current one. Depending on how the spirit has lived it's other incarnations, an illness could stem from past wrong-doings. It could be too that the spirit chose to undergo such a life to advance more quickly in it's evolution.
Also, not to be over looked, this is an obvious trial for the child's parents and family as well.

The Q is drawn from the age old Q; "Why does God allow suffering in the world."

The answer of coarse is that suffering is a consequence of SIN. Sin is disobediance toward God and he has been punishing us ever since.

So youre thinking right now; "Why kids? Theyre innocent!" Well if they are innocent they will go to Heaven; a place far better than this one. We have nobody to blame for the suffering and curses of this life but ourselves.

Dont worry about the disease that can sicken you, dont worry about the soldier that can kill you, dont worry about the car that hit you, worry about doing the will of God so you dont end up in a place thats so horrible you'll wish you were dying of cancer instead of being there -- for eternity.

Our ancestors (Adam and Eve) chose sin and therefore death for all their offspring. God has allowed plenty of time for all of us to see the results of their poor choice. BUT--he has also provided a way out for us. If we choose Jesus Christ as our ancestor rather than Adam, we can have everlasting life even if we die in this system of things because he has paid the ransom for our inherited sinfulness. These children will all be resurrected and taught about God's perfect plan. They will be given a choice just as we are given a choice. God is loving and kind and does not want any to perish permanantly regardless of how irresponsible and inconsiderate Adam and Eve were of us all.

because there is no god. People have some good answers here, but really, would a god really allow families to go through this, even if people ages ago asked god to let this happen? Come on.

It is always more comfortable to blame God when bad things happen but we need to really try to understand who God is, his behaviours and his personality and we can do this through the Bible. Then, once we begin this process, you will know that this is not God punishing children and all the other crazy things that are happening in the world. I believe that many of these things which are happening which don't make sense are simply Gods natural law, and let me try to explain. We all know that drugs are bad for us, so lets say (hypothetically) that you do drugs for ten, fifteen years of your life and then you run into problems. You first run out of money and then maybe you will get sick. Can you say that this is Gods doing, well what your asking is a lot similar to this situation I have given to you. The only difference is that it involves more than one generation of people, so you need to expand your mind of inderstanding.

first of all, GOD DOESN'T LET it happen. If the child was in a christian family and dedicated to him at birth. it wouldn't happen. GOD NEVER FAILS, MAN DOES thru his ignorance of Gods ways and word. If you listen and respect God, He'll take care of you. If man doesn't do what Gods tells him thru his word then man is ignorant and out of Gods will and God can not communicate with him to tell him what to do and what doctor to see or what medicine to take or how to pray about the situations and man doesn't know how to put their burdens (problems) into Gods hands for the right answers. satan puts sickness on us NOT GOD and if your not a child of Gods, he can't do any thing to help you. He gave us a free will to choose him or satans way of life. It is one or the other. There is no middle ground. It is GODS way or satans way totally. You have to make the choice of what will happen to you personally.

God does not make children sick or give them cancer. God is sad when the very small get sick and when they die i believe that God does weep for his own children each day.
God loves all of us and God let his own son die for our own sins so we could have everlasting life.

That's all mankind. God loves and takes care of all his children. Life is a journey and we live it as much as we are aloud to. Some of us have short and others have long lives. We all pass on in various ways though it hurts so bad but that's why it's called life! God is our savior.

According to my beliefs, we choose our experiences before we come into this life. Not just the good ones, either. We choose our families, our friends, and what we go through in order to learn, to experience, to develop compassion and empathy for others, and to keep all this with us so that when we come back in again, we are better able to help and serve one another. Children dying for any reason is horrible, and something I hate dwelling on. But it helps to think that there's meaning behind it, that the soul of the child chose that path of suffering in order to have that experience, so that they could come back in the following life as better, more compassionate doctors, nurses, parents, ect., able to provide better care and healing for other suffering children.
