The South Beach Diet
The South Beach Diet is not low-carb or low-fat. Instead, the South Beach Diet™ teaches you to change the balance of food you eat to emphasize health and weight-loss! You'll do away with bad carbs and bad fats, and start eating good fats and good carbs.
It all started when Miami cardiologist Arthur Agatston wanted to find a way for his heart patients to lose weight in a healthy, sustainable way. His research at Mount Sinai Medical Center became the foundation for the diet that became a phenomenon - especially in South Florida: home of string-bikinis and speedos.
Here's how it works...

During the first two weeks of the South Beach Diet™, you'll learn how to eat in a new way. Whether you're shedding a few vanity pounds or working on a major weight-loss goal, this is the realistic and delicious way to start losing your extra pounds.
What you'll eat: You'll eat normal-size helpings of meat and seafood (like chicken, beef, fish, and shrimp). You'll have plenty of vegetables, eggs, cheese, and nuts. You'll have salads with real olive oil in the dressing. You'll have three balanced meals a day. You'll eat great foods and satisfy your hunger.
The South Beach Diet™ will also help you banish cravings and avoid the sensation that you need more food. You'll be urged to have snacks twice a day. You can have dessert after dinner. You can drink diet soda. You can even eat out!
What you won't eat: For the first 14 days you won't have any bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, or baked goods. No fruit, even. Before you panic: You'll begin adding those things back into your diet again in two weeks. But for right now, they're off-limits. You also won't eat candy, cake, cookies, ice cream, or sugar for two weeks. Also no beer or alcohol. After this phase, though, you'll be free to drink wine again and eat a wider variety of desserts.
It may sound tough, but you're going to be shocked at how painlessly two weeks will pass without these foods. The first day or two may be challenging; but after that, it will seem like the only way to eat. The South Beach Diet™ may be new to you, but it has existed for several years, and has helped literally thousands of people start losing weight and eating right.
During the next phase of your diet, you'll begin adding back some of foods you cut during the first two weeks. You'll be adding them back in a healthy way, though. By eating the right balance of carbs, you'll continue losing weight instead of gaining it!
What you'll eat now: Now that you have rebalanced your diet and body, you'll be able to bring back a number of foods. You'll still be on a diet, but if it's bread you love, you'll have bread again. You'll bring pasta, rice, cereal, and potatoes. You'll bring back fruits, wine, and even chocolate. The South Beach Diet™ will teach you exactly which carbs are good and which are bad. You'll make the smart-carbs a part of your everyday meals!
You'll remain in Phase 2, eating all these delicious foods until you reach your target weight. How long it takes depends on how much you need to lose. But no matter what size you target is, this is a healthy and delicious way to get there. Once you reach your target, you'll be able to bring back even more foods, and eat in a way to keep your weight exactly where you want it.

The South Beach Diet™ can be your solution for permanent weight-loss. Unlike diets that offer short-term weight-loss, the South Beach Diet™ teaches you a healthy way to eat for life. Once you reach your ideal weight, you be able to add even more foods back into your daily meals. When you get to this point, you'll notice that this plan feels less like a diet and more like a way of life. You'll be eating normal foods in normal-size portions, just rebalanced to keep your weight exactly where you want it.
The final change: Not only will you maintain your weight, but you'll be eating right. The foods that the South Beach Diet™ emphasizes are almost universally considered healthy eating choices. Your diet will be rich in minerals and vitamins. You'll eat healthy fats like olive oil and omega-3 oils from fish. You'll eat whole grains, smart-carbs, chocolate, wine, and more. You'll eat well, look good, and maintain your ideal weight life-long!

no ! try this instead > Ok here goes but mind you its a healthy diet. Its not fast. It works on each person differnt. It will work and you be the most healthy person ever.
The basic goal is to remove the toxins from our body, thats most of the wieght we have anyway.
Here's what you do.
Eat only fresh fruit in the mornings as for breakfast, the fruits is what helps clean our bodies, you can drink juice if you want but only fresh home made juice ( Not from a can or bottle) Around lunch time you'll want to eat above ground veggies like corn, peas and green beans. Those kind of veggies. These are what gives us energy during the day. Please nothing from a can. They won't do u any good at all.
Supper time you'll want to eat those veggies grown below ground like carrots and potatos. Here's the catch The only thing you can cook is the potatos and I would suggest slowly baking those, Everything needs to be eaten raw. The heat in cooking kills the things we need to make us healthy. Nothing processed at all is allowed you'll be defeting the purpose. only clean water to drink ( no tap water , thats some nasty stuff ) no coffee no tea no beer or whiskey no soft drink of any kind.. Abosolutley nothing that is processed and at your best don't cook any of it. at least if you have to cook it cook at extreamly low heat and not for any lenght of time. Oh you can have peanuts almonds ectt... raw no salt sorry no salt or butter to any foods either.
Your trying to remove the toxins and you will lose wieght. when the body rids itself of all the toxins you should gain a little back to where you are suppose to be.
I hope this helps and keep me posted.

Fasting is not advisible way to loose weight.

Actually fasting once a week helps to clean your system. It is important to give rest to your digestive system once in a while. Therefore the ancient people knew that if you told someone to give rest to your stomach they would not do so. Therefore the brahmins put a rule to fast in the Gods name.

Fasting will not help you loose weight.

it is okay to cut down on how much you eat, but you should try to just eat less at each meal instead of skipping the meal completely. your body needs the energy and if you skip a meal there is more of a chance that you will pig out at the next meal. just try to eat healthier, more fulfilling foods. watch your portions and exercise for at least 30 minutes a day and you will start to lose weight in a couple weeks, and it will actually stay off instead of by fasting which would cause the weight to come right back once you start eating more.

NO, because your body will not allow you to starve yourself, your brain plays a big part in your weight, you have to fool the brain , so it doesen`t know your dieting, so you eat different, eat vegetables, and fruit, lessbread, fish, chicken, and turkey, are things to eat, and you will be surprised how much you can eat and still lose weight. but don`t forget to get in some fast movement into your life, this booste your matabolisem, so you lose weight faster, and it don`t matter what kind it is. jumping rope burns 500 calories in 30 minutes, but you can`t jump 30 minutes in one sesion, but you can several times aday. GO FOR IT, you can do it. Hey if you lose muscle, then your matabolisem will go down, so you don`t want to fast, you want more protein, to booste it.

No. IT is not a good or advisible way to loose weight. Skipping meals causes your matabolisim to slow down to a crawl, meaning that anytime you acctually do eat, less of it will be burned off, meaning, you acctually gain weight.

You probably know the answer and that is why you are asking it to confirm. Fasting ill lead problems like gas and acidity. Moreever, once you stop your fasting routine, you will get back your fats pretty fast. Better check what you eat nad have a diet plan from someone, do exercise and also yoga if possible.

Skipping meals, will only send your body into shock.
The moment that you start eating again, your body will be like an addict, and crave carbs, for energy and sugar for fuel.

Its okay to eat.
Its just important WHAT you it, and WHAT you eat it with.

Tips:
Start each day with a piece of fruit and glass of water.
Each a balance breakfast of dairy or protien.
Have a "hearty" and healthy lunch.
This way you are eating your heaviest meal, early.
For dinner, have something light like a salad, or soup.
Don't eat a good 4 hrs before you go to bed.
Not good to eat and sleep on it. Makes you lazy, and feel heavy.

Lastly:
Change you thinking.
Feel good about what you eat.

No this is absolute a myth that dieting or fasting aids in loosing weight, because when u fast ur body metabolism adjusts itself accordingly .taken for an instance if u eat 1000 cal. while being on a dieting spree, ur body adjusts its metabolism to burn those 1000 cal.which u've taken.that's why u often see people eating 2500 cal.& don't gains weight ,while for those who eats 1000 cal.while dieting never looses weight.

It's a quick solution, but very temporary and unhealthy. Your body's metabolism slows down and then you slow down its ability to burn fat. If you want to skip a meal, skipping the ones at the end of your day are better than skipping the beginning. Try to watch waht you eat, and try not to eat within 4 hours of going to bed.

NO! breakfast is the most important meal, it "wakes up" your metabolosm in the morning. Small healthy snacks every 2-3 hours between meals works for me. When I do eat lunch and dinner the meals are small becaus ethe snacks have kept me from getting very hungry.
