It seems to me that ordinary people are like work slaves with fully loaded machine guns, but they are dragging rocks along the path chosen by a few bossy people who only have sticks to beat us with.

For example: We can get multi-national corporations to change their policies where they cause inequality and abuse. We have the power of where to spend our hard-earned money!

Individually it doesn't amount to much, but if enough of people vote with their money, corporations and governments will listen, cause they depend on each other. Also voting through the ballot box for people with similar inclinations would also help.

What do u think?

Yes. By staying positive and opening yourself up to change, anything can be achieved. The important part is to always make sure that you set realistic time limits and that you know what support you need to achieve your goal- no matter how large or small. Remember what might seem like a small step for you can be added to other small steps and huge leaps can be made.

I believe people COMPLETELY underestimate their own power of change. To touch a life, to give hope impacts not just that one person but everyone they come in contact with. But when we don't act like the little things matter we neglect of own power. Volunteering changes lives. Holding a door open for someone. Picking something up that someone dropped. These are the things that make the world better. Even something as simple as telling a lonely neighbor (that you usually avoid) Hello will change their day.

You're so right, but most people are too apathetic to attempt to bring about any sort of change; they would rather just complain, then go down to the pub and have a pint! Someone once said to me, 'Every country has the government it deserves' and from observation and experience, I now know that's very true!

Unfortunately most of us are too lethargic to vote at the ballot box every 4 years- let alone at the supermarket weekly.

I agree profusely. The only problem is that people are often scared to speak up and break the mould.
We have politicians to speak for us but they always end up corrupt and on a mission on self importance/ego/power.
Its always about the power

Yes I do believe. That's why I vote each and every election. Voting is a right, and I take it seriously. Like you and me, we all should!
