Modern science have never proven any such thing. Nor has there ever been found a "gay gene". You've been brainwashed by the cult of homosexuality.

The refutation of the scientific evidence (as seen in several responses) is exactly like the Creationist refutation of Natural Selection: "You can't prove your point 100% using science. Ergo, I must be right."
Science can't prove anything 100%, that's not what science does. But let's ignore science for a moment and use simple logic. Given the amount of sh!t gays have to put up with from all the holier-than-thou fundies, why the hell would anyone "choose" to be gay? Do you know of anyone who "decided" to become a homosexual, just for the hell of it? Do you have any evidence, other than your personal dogma, that anyone has ever voluntarily become a attracted to members of the same sex?
Here's an idea: if homosexuality is a choice, why don't you try it? Just choose to be gay for few minutes, and then you can choose to be straight again. You don't even have to do anything physical, just have a desire to. According to both the Bible and the Vatican, merely being homosexual isn't a sin - it's the acts that get you in trouble. So you have nothing to lose by trying, right? Go ahead, start fantasizing about butt sex. See how easy it is to "choose" to be gay?

I'm gay, an agnostic/atheistic Buddhist, and a psychotherapist. And while I believe that there is growing evidence that the tendency toward homosexuality is influenced in utero, science has not yet "proved" this to be the case. No single "cause" of sexual orientation has been discovered, and much evidence suggests that it is influenced by a variety of factors (the latest pointing to birth order).
Some religions, however, teach that women should take no role in the Church because they are inferior, and on that front, science and experience has proven those religions in error. Religion has a choice of whether to accept scientific advances. And people have a choice of whether to adhere to a religion that ignores reasonable evidence.

Do you not understand that these researches are actually quite inconclusive. This research hasn't proved anything a 100% The samples been too low, and that fact the DNA or hormone they attribute to this can also be found in some straight males that claim to never had thought of homosexuality, and had no desire, and are even married with children.
Get over it, there's no facts yet, just speculation from poorly created research. Sin is a choice, so is homosexuality. A lot of times it is cause by early exposures to sex and sexual materials. Once we begin to think in a sinful manner or do sinful things, it becomes more natural and we feel as if it is second nature.

It really doesn't matter what a religion accepts. It does matter what the Lord accepts. And whats written in the Bible. If you want to practice being a homosexual go ahead, but don't waste any more time trying to get anyone to accept you.
Modern medicine is limited to the extent of one specific study. Just one more study. Or one more found proff can void any so called modern science fact.

Well I think that Christianity is about free will and if someone looks down on another person for being a homosexual, people should start to question that person's idea of what a Christian is. I think it's time ALL people stop being hateful about such things, too many people are trying to be judge and jury. It should all be about love and acceptance.

Science has not proven anything of the sort. Use you brain and think about it. How do you explain EX-GAYS? Also the brain is not fully developed at birth. So your BS about homosexuality being something people are born with is just that.

How has modern science proved that homosexuality is something in the brain? I've never heard that. But I do believe it's something we come into life with, it's normal and natural, and believing otherwise is giving in to childish fears about men and sex.

It'd be nice, but if they even accept one thing they have to eventually realize that their whole foundation is horse-****, as Science has proven that they're all wrong, at least concerning their respective doctrines. Some scientists will go as far as saying that there MAY be some kind of creator, but that it simply set things in motion and let things go, so there would be no need to worship them. I just can't wait for scientists to find that the gene that makes certain people claim to have been abducted by aliens is the same gene that makes people believe in god.

First, when have the Religious Reich ever cared about scientific fact? Second, they would just argue that even if you can't choose your preferences, you can choose whether or not to act on them. In the end, I personally tend to agree with the idea that mutually enjoyable activities between consenting adults in the privacy of their own homes are nobody Else's business. As a French philosopher once observed: "I didn't choose to be who or what I am, but since it is me, I will neither deny nor apologize for it".
