Corn is in, or has the potential to be in/on, just about everything in the grocery store. Soy seems to be a close second. Even table salt and feminine products have Corn. It makes my life miserable.

My mom and sister are allergic to soy. My best friends sister is allergic to both corn and soy. She trays to eat kosher products which during passover do not include corn products. Using a kosher diet look for products made with wheat protein often it will be used in place of corn. Also you can seek out a dietitian to help you find foods that can fit into a diet and still give you the proper nutrition.

Yes A LOT of people have such allergies and initially experience the same frustration that you have. You do not have to be miserable though. There are sooooo many alternatives and ways to make it easier for yourself and I promise you that you will be much healthier than most people in the long run if you do not eat the highly processed foods that are out there. There are a lot of good books out there and recipes. It could be worse, you could be allergic to chocolate or wheat or dairy as many people are.

My daughter is allergic to all nuts. I feel your frustration. You wouldn't believe how many foods either contain nuts or were processed on shared equipment. I went to buy her Dora cookies the other day (she's 3) and couldn't because the blurb on the bottom of the ingredients said may contain traces of tree nuts.

Have you gone online and looked up websites for your allergy?Ask your allergist which sites he/she reccomends. That's how I got my start when researching my daughter's allergy.
