Definitely!!!! I'm so glad someone else has noticed this about their cat - its my theory that cats who clearly display this emotional trait are practicing for their next life - as a human

Definitely. My cat does some really dumb things at times, falls off stuff and falls in stuff (the fish tank once!). When this happens she looks around to see who is looking and if someone saw her, she goes and sulks. She is also a jealous cat if I'm paying attention to someone or something else, like my stepdaughter or reading a book. She is not aggressive but likes to put herself between me and the other person/thing.

Yes. My oldest cat is a little clumsy. She slides around on our kitchen floor and often ends up sliding straight into the side of the refrigerator. Then she does this kind of whimper and lowers her head down. Really cute.

Yes. Like when they fall of of something they do look embarrassed. Sometimes they slink out of the room and I can imagine them thinking "I hope no one noticed I just did that".

Yes, when they do something and they forgot it was wrong. The moment they remember they get that embarrassed expression. It is so funny, but you can't laugh because you must reinforce the fact that what they did was wrong.

OOOOOOOOOH yea!! My cats have fallen out of the windowsill and off of their respective posts and the way they look around and act is a show of obvious embarassment, ESPECIALLY when there are other cats around.

yes. I have seen my cats fall off the sofa and look around to see who was watching with a look of "I hope you didnt see that"

Yes, when they fall off a piece of furniture while napping too soundly. They look around to see if I'm watching, then just walk away as if they'd planned it.

Yes! Like if they fall off of something...I always reassure them that nobody saw it...as I try to hide my laughing at them! It's funny...

yes, but she tries to play it off.
the big reason cats hate water is they know how stupid they look wet (very embarrassing).
after an ungraceful event she gets this wtf? look, then just acts like it was all planned out.
it is all quite amusing!
