what nonsense are you spouting? "information was not freely available about other religions to the general public"
what country are u talking about cuz it surely isn't America---
info has always been available here, and people here can freely practice whatever the heck they want.
interest has been steadily increasing about a lot of eastern religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, as well as Islam since the 1950's
and why is it that evangelists think their way is the only way?
has it ever occurred to any of them that there could be more ways than one to find god or that perhaps evangelists could even be totally mistaken and wrong?
they're all sitting around waiting for judgment day--- sit and wait, and keep saying stupid things--- what will u do if that day comes and you all were WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, it is working FOR those who are brave enough to tread the waters. I'm speaking of TRUE Christian Evangelists, however. The false ones will be discovered and ignored.
Spread Your Love by the Holy Spirit through Cal Jennings
Ki, Chi, The Source, The Force
Are just different names for God.
It's really very simple,
But to you it may seem odd.
It's through the Holy Spirit
That God spreads Jesus love.
So evr'yone let's all join hands
And spread peace from above.
The world is fille with hatred and war,
Greed, lust, violence, and sin.
We've got to fight a spiritual war
That first comes from within.
So if you call God Allah,
Buddah, Krishna, or Id,
It's time to come together in peace.
It's about time that we did.
Refrain:
Spread your love throughout the world.
Let your light shine bright.
It's time to break the darkness
And turn on our inner light.

Let those evangelists dare asking tithe in this forum and lied about using the proceed to build an orphanage in Mexico and take the most humiliating episode in their life here. Traditionally, they're the one who have the microphone and it's usually a one way communication: they talk we listen. Not here.
I love Buddhism. But they need to make a stand on Resurrection.

Theres no Q that the internet opens doors. But Christians are attempting to use this media for good and not evil. I believe a person seeking eastern philosophies would do so with or without the internet.
We've got nothing to hide, BRING IT! Im convinced that people of good character and reason will choose Jesus because he is a completely unique individual that just happened to claim he was the Son of God and can save you! Who wouldnt want that? What religion offers more? Are you ready to face the consequences if you misjudge Jesus?

the Internet is a way to reach people and that is why so many religious reach out that way. it does make it confusing, but it also depends on what role you wish to lead, what path you choose. i am a christian, but i purposely looked into slammers just to see what they are saying like this Q&A site helps people see and know how to fight misinformation about differant religious. but at the same time it also shows how people are treated by others for thier beliefs.

Absolutely. But to narrow the Internets affect on one facet of human society in general is to understate. It never ceases to amaze me to think of all the different ways that the Internet can, will and is affecting the development of humanity.

I agree with the previous post. I do explore other religions to learn about them. But I feel that you need to understand those isssue to fully comprehend your own.
So, no, I don't think it's hurt evangelism.

no, to the contrary there are allot of people asking questions about God just like you are doing now.
people don't believe this , but God is using them to bring them to him. have you notice that after somethings bad happens there's always good out of it. that's because God uses the devil like his puppet.

The net is great. the truth is on our side so as long as the word gets out, it's a good thing. Our task is to spread the word. It is still the responsibility of each individual to accept or reject it.
