I'm looking for resources, online and off, relating to pagan homeschooling--I have two daughters, aged 8 & 11, and we're looking for teaching plans that work with our religious beliefs. I'm familiar with the info at http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/paganhomeschooling/ and other easily-findable sites; I'm more looking for actual recommendations than just a collection of links or list of books.

What works, what doesn't, what hassles can I expect?

Other info: we're not recent converts to paganism or homeschooling. The girls have known no other religion, and have been homeschooled erratically for a couple of years; I'm looking for something with a bit of structure.

It is wrong to teach your children religion at home as a part of their schooling. I say this regardless of religion because it gives them too narrow a world view. Particularly a religion as off the main stream as paganism, when in all likely hood they will reject the religion when they get older (I know a lot of pagan parents, and their kids are universally unbelievers. Some of the older kids have no trust for their parents because of having what is basically a cult belief shoved down their throats as kids.)

If you are a qualified teacher, homeschooling can be a really effective way to educate your children. But stick to a spiritually neutral curriculum and let them make their own decisions about what to believe when they are old enough to do so.

Again, I say this regardless of your religion. I am not a religious person so I have no preference as to what people believe. I just believe in letting kids learn the world around them before exposing them to organized superstition.

I'm tired, probably too tired to be answering questions. I apologize if this answer was too harsh. Please just interpret it as a very blunt opinion. I do wish you and your children well.

Teach them to think for themselves.
Give them the material they need to self-teach. They need the opportunity to search for facts and know the truth instead of some strange misconception about religion.
If they trust and parrot everything they are learning from you they will be clones without the ability to KNOW for certain that faith in God is a reality.
