Hmmmm! you want something you dream of, but you are unable to get it coz its denied or they deny you?

Perseverence and efforts my friend. Our mind and soul most often get bolted to the kind of lifestyle we lead. And there is one great villian in every human --- "HABIT".

Conquer that ***, and your life finds its way out automatically. In your case the HABIT that I can notice is negative excuses or reasons like "I cant", "denied","I can just dream". But why dont you practise everyday by just chanting "I CAN" and work out ways to acquire all that you need?

If you cant get what you dream, you can atleast get close to it my friend. Its possible. Just be positive and work hard. Life is too big, fun and challenging. Once you do it and get to be self satisfied, that satisfaction is what matters to you then. Not even the goal matters then.

Every time you make an attempt, that satisfaction and confidence builds up automatically and your mind then stop conquering you. You conquer it. And your problem is solved.

Hey! one more thing. Stop listening to your mind. Quit that habit, or you would become bald soon.

Sounds like you need to take control of yourself and your thoughts. Did you ever stop to consider that what you are doing is a form of self ridicule and torture? You are allowing your mind to taunt you with things that are beyond your reach, and that makes you very angry. But like some of the others here have said, some things can be within your reach if you set a goal and make a plan to obtain them, like the xbox. Anger is like a demon. It eats away at you from within but constantly seeks to fuel itself, always at your expense. Since you've posted this under mental health, I think you know that you have the opportunity to make changes that will free you from the incessant gnawing in your brain.

1. Be happy and content with what you have. You have a lot more than most of the world.
2. Do not envy your friends if they have what you want. Be happy for them.
3. SET GOALS - try to work for some of the things you want. Everyone should have goals.

Try thinking about something else and putting your energies to better use, like volunteering or something. If all else fails, get a job, you won't be able to think about anything else.

One of the tenets of Buddhism is about separating yourself from your cravings. You might read up on that. Also, try to focus on what you are grateful to have.

Ignore any forms of advertising.
Maybe rent the x-box for a month and then take it back when you get tired of it???
