Level 2

eat soft foods
dont do much hard work
tylenol maybe something stronger if there is any mikiden in the house ask if you can have one if a bottle full of them look for the MG if it is 50MG you can take upto 4 if the pills are white if yellow 2 cause those are the ones that contain tylnol Mikiden is a high power pain killer like tlynol but safer
stay pretty calm for a few days
ice cream
yogurt
mashed potatoes all that kinda stuff

good luck hun

personal experience sshe is so very right! do not do pop corn or eating ice you will know instantly why not and get usce to the pain cause it will be repeated every 2 to 3 week till they come off
but once they are off your teeth will look a heck of a lot better then when you did not have braces

I had braces for years. Every month I had to go in and have them tightened. Make sure to eat BEFORE you have that done cause it will hurt to bite down for like a day after. Another good thing to do is take the Tylenol as soon as you leave the office before it starts to hurt. You can go tomorrow out just don't expect to eat.
Ditto on the milkshakes.

hey omg i completely know what ur going through i had braces too and i wanted to just die the first two days lol but u know i just kept popping those pills. i took lots and lots of advil, 2 every few hours.

going out i think will be good for you because itll get ur mind off of it, when i was able to distract myself and not think of the pain it was like temporarily gone so yeah i think u should go out. i ate lots of jello and yogurt and popsicles (the cold eases the pain) just try to make it through these first few days. sleep is hard just try to get ur mind off the pain before u sleep.

u know what u could try too, if u bite down really hard and hold it for like 5 seconds and let go itll feel a bit better afterwards though the biting and the second u let go hurts ALOT but after feels better.

Try to relax, have soup today so you don't have to bite, but you can't baby your teeth too long or it takes longer to get used to. Tomorrow have soft foods like apple sauce and pasta. To ease the pain take advil - that works to kill the pain for me. And it will hurt tomorrow, but not as much as today. But you don't have to stay home, carry on with normal life, take advil and be gentle with your teeth.

when i first got braces, i even had a butterfly! i couldnt even talk. eventually i got used to it, but i suggest taking a nap, eating soft things, drink soup instead maybe, and ice cream always helps! dont worry, go out tomorrow and continue with your routine, they are braces, not a two broken legs
