Keep the skin clean and moisturized. Eczema is in the asthma family. My daughter has asthma currently and had eczema as an infant. It got so bad it was infected. The doctor put her on a low dose of anti-biotics and referred us to the allergy doctor. He discovered she had allergies that aggravated the eczema and the asthma. Once we eliminated those things from her diet (nuts, milk, fish) and continued the moisturizers (non perfumed), her skin got better and she had fewer asthma episodes. You might want to look into seeing an allergist.

Adelle Davis's book Let's Get Well has a good program for people with eczema. Also see the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine by Murray and Pizzorno. Both books are available on Alibris.com

This might sound silly, but don't knock till you try it. keep area clean.....use ground cinnamon and honey, make it into a paste and put on the infected area. over time should heal. Stay away from gardening and moisturize daily.
