No, because when you use your debit card the money is automatically taken from your checking account. Credit history is built on your ability to repay money you've borrowed from a bank/company. When you use your debit card, you're not borrowing money - your deducting it from an account you already have.

No hun. This is using your own money. It's like taking money out of your account from a check, it just comes out faster with a debit card. If you were to use a check it would take at least 2 to 3 days for it to go through but a debit card takes your money out straight away.

the debit transactions themselves are not reported, and neither are any overdrafts but if a bank ever has to close out an account because of money owed then that has a negative effect on your credit score.

NO they do not. credit reports only records debts that are made through credit cards or loans (bank loans, student loans, car loans etc.). any purchases made from your debit cards are not recorded....it has to be purchased from credit cards.... hope this helps..
