I am only asking because I have heard from so many christians that if you do not believe their religion, that you go to hell. But there are many different branches of christianity which got me wondering whether or not each branch of christianity believes the other is going to hell because even though their religion is a branch of christianity, their belief is somewhat different. If I offend anyone, I sincerely apologize.

Biblehelp: I'm not a religious person, nor have I ever studied a religion. I choose not to have an opinion about any religion until I have studied it.

It seems I have offended some people with my question, and I sincerely apologize for that. It was not my intention.

Well, from what I've heard, yes. I was raised in a strictly Roman Catholic household, and anybody who wasn't Roman Catholic was guaranteed a seat on the express train to Hell. I don't think it's just the Catholics, either. That's one of the reasons I don't call myself a Christian any more. Too much infighting and contradiction, not enough scholarship, compassion, and information. Oh, and the whole "let's kill all the heretics" thing.

Christianity began after the arrival of Jesus, and until that time everything was Jewish in terms of God. So Christ began Christianity and the church, and he is the head of all Christian churches and or denominations, but men are responsible for creating divisions with denominations. There has always been a difference of opinions about the faith between believers beginning with the first disciples, and what we see today is just much of the same thing.
A Roman Catholic priest once asked me about church because I had stopped going to his church and I mentioned something about Jesus, and he asked me what denomination I belonged to, and I responded that if all Christian churches are not leading people directly to Jesus, then they are not doing their job as a Christian church !

There is only one branch of Christianity, I thought everyone knew that. Its Jesus Christ. What you are try to do is confuse the soon to be Christians and the newly become Christians with your twisted words.
No one can say that Christianity is a religion. Christianity is a reality, a walk with God. Where you err, is saying religion is Christianity.
You are so wrong, and I pray that soon everybody will realize it. Religion is a practice of man's dogmas and theologies. If it looks religious, we'll use it in our service they say.
Don't be mislead and fall into this trap. God hates religion. Religion breaks His first Commandment.><>

It depends on which branch you ask :)
Some denominations and groups are very narrow and see only themselves (and maybe one or two others) as the "true" or "truest" version of Christianity. Others are much more open and ecumenical in their outlook. They realize that there are differences between the branches, but that there is also much common ground, and choose to engage in positive cooperation and dialogue.

Yes, and they're all correct. You see, there isn't really any Heaven, just a whole lot of Hells. We all get to spend eternity shuttling around between the different Hells of all the religions we didn't believe in. There's even a "state of non-existence" where all non-atheists have to go.
We're still not sure what happens to those who refused to follow agnosticism.

You won't hear it from this Christian! We are all one body of believers with one common (denominator) ? (denomination) ? - we all accept Christ as our Savior. Now one believes that you have to have communion every Sunday and another believes you worship on Saturday. Another runs up and down the isles talking jibberish and passing out, while another says you can't be baptised by sprinkling you have to be immersed in an oasis of water. Those are human conditions, ritualisms, legalisms, yet we all should have enough wisdom to recognize that we all have accepted Christ as our Savior and that IS the requirement to becoming a Christian. No one has to face the penalty of hell that has accepted Christ. NO ONE!

When you talk of branches of Christianity, doesn't that make you think of Gods word that says don't let there be any divisions among you or any sects. So then, what do you really believe God thinks of them then? They have done just the opposite of what God said, did they not?

First of all, your question doesn't even make sense.
Only a Christian (Spiritual Jew) Through Christ will go to heaven. ok?
How can Christians think other Christians will go too hell?
Can a dog think another dog is a cat?
a dog is a dog...a cat is a cat. Don't let anyone pull your leg.
Now...Should the question really be:
Are all branches Christian? The answer is NO. period. according to the Word of God Himself.
Eph. ONE BAPTISM..ONE FAITH..ONE BODY..ONE TRUTH..ONE GOSPEL..ONE DOCTRINE..ONE LORD..ONE TRUTH..
there are not many doctrines.
There are not 2 doctrines.
THERE IS ONE DOCTRINE.
Good Question.

NO! No! We are educarted today and I can`t believe that anyone from another church would tell you that if you don`t believe their way your going to hell.If someone believes in God,excepts Jesus as their savior and lives a good life their going to be with God.No one enterprets the word the same.Jesus told us what to do and we would be saved, that is to repent of our sins, believe on him and live by the ten commandments, and thou shalt be saved. To say other wise is saying you don`t believe what he said.

No... because there is no Hell. The Bible never states that. This is just a human belief that became the top of mostly all the existing religions.
