Someone please tell me why so many people are buying into the whole mormon religion? What makes it so great because from what I have seen(my sister is mormon) it is full of crap.

The way you worded your question is disrespectful and slightly rude. No one can convince you that "it is full of crap" or not, just as you can't prove or disprove that Heavenly Father (God) exists. I know that this church is true, and it answers questions that other religions are unable to answer. I know that we have a Heavenly Father and that Joseph Smith had a revelation of God, which enabled this religion to exist.
People are "buying into the whole mormon religion" because they believe that it is the truth. I'm sorry that you, among others think that the LDS are deceived and/or ignorant, but members of this religion join from their own choice and free will. Hopefully you'll be able to understand in a neutral manner.

Hmmm let me see. clean living (we'll live longer, odds are), we respect others (so we don't take the Lord's name in vain or persecute others, we believe that Jesus Christ is our savior (like every other Christian faith), and overall, LDS folks are nicer.
I'm a convert. Did I "buy into it?" No... I'm not stupid and I'm not closed-minded either. I prayed, a lot. I also read the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Oh ya, we read that too. I'm glad your sister has found a faith she loves. If you want to be a good brother, you'll love your sister and support her in her decision to be a part of a terrific faith.
