I have one 40 yrs old, made from plans. It's never been in the water. Stored inside. Do you think it's worth anything? Its a good size boat, but when folded up, it fits in a pickup truck. Cool boat...

Boats are comprised of steel and nonetheless drift so that debunks the "wooden has a slash density than water". Boats go with the flow due to Archimedes principle: the bouyant drive is the same as the load of the displaced fluid. The boat have got to push water away to gain bouyancy. Either the boat can displace adequate water to end up buoyant or it is going to sink. As you can find, Aristotle used to be mistaken and is irrelevant to the quandary.
