No, but I think that we should let people think and believe what they want and not judge them or down them for it.

Although I am an atheist, I think that everyone should have their own opinion and belief, provided that it is solidly founded and rational. Unfortunately, many people who participate in the Religion and Spirituality category are bigots who, if the world were in their hands, would annhilate every other religion simply out of ignorance. I would like to see some discussion about other religions besides Christianity or how Christianity is far superior to everything else for once.

The real question is, if you don't believe or care about religion, why out of all the yahoo topics, you choose to come to the category you don't like or don't care about to post a question about why it exist or to try and lead others to think it should be called Fairy Tales. Are you not being guilty of the same thing that non-believers complain about when they say Christians force their opinions upon others when they don't want to hear it? Just think IF you are RIGHT and We are wrong then after death, if there is an afterlife, you can laugh at all us poor believers for being so dumb. IF THOUGH WE are RIGHT in our beliefs and you are wrong then consider the ETERNAL outcome then? Yeah that's eternal as in never ending no doing again and no second chances.

Here's how I'd like it done:
Instead of having the Society/Culture catagory (with religion/spirituality as a sub catagory), there should be a Religion/Spirituality catagory with sub catagorys such as Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Pagan, Judism, Misc, etc.
It might keep alot of people from getting upset over others judging/questioning their beliefs. There would obviously be trouble makers who go into others sections with fake questions, but I think the issues of many in this section would be solved this way.

I don't know, just a thought.

If one changed the name to Fairy Tales for Christians, he or she would be committing the genetic fallacies. Just because a person is a Christian does not make his or her arguments invalid. If one wants to use this logic, then he or she has to reject Keplers laws of planetary motion, any thoughts that Galileo had, and thoughts Martin Luther King King Junior had. If that person accept just one of them, then that person is accepting the Christians can think and contradicting himself by implication. This is more absurd than making the claim that Christians can't think.

I think it should be renamed to the
"Atheists bash Christianity" group lol.
No I'm joking.
There are other faiths and beliefs too.
Why should I give up my wonderful belief in Jesus Christ, something that has given me hope, love and so much joy...and give it up because someone online told me its not true.
I came to Jesus on my own, and I made the decision to follow him last year because I knew that there was something greater, and I knew that the path that I was on was not the one for me.

I accept you for what you believe in, and from what I can see your a Witch, I was once a Pagan too.
I am Native American and and the teachings I was taught did not include INTOLERANCE. We were taught to love all cultures and all peoples. Peace, love, respect and understanding were always high on the list of what the elders spoke about.

If you choose to be a witch, that is your choice, and I respect that.
Accept me for what I believe in and that is a Loving God, a creator..who loves you too.

It sounds like a great idea to me. I see someone quoted the Bible about fools saying there is no God. It seems that the biggest fools are the ones who say there is some deity whose existence is not scientific or logical. The Bible has contradictions and scientific inaccuracies galore. I sent three letters about this to a newspaper, and I have more to send. Thomas Jefferson said that after a critical and objective study of the Bible, one might "conclude that there is no God", and Jefferson was no fool.

and look everyone... another lets bash the Christians. I am willing to bet the next one will be bashing some other belief. Why does it matter? If you don't like the questions being asked... don't go to that category. It's not that hard!!!
