I have dated him for three years now and we have lived together for 11/2 of the three. He is so sweet and kind! He loves to cook and he helps with all the house chores. This guy just will not hold down a job! He makes his truck payment and pay's his deer lease ...why can't he help me pay the bills? He says give me time to get a job that I feel good about. He knows I make a very nice living, so he knows all the bills will get paid. It is causing me to loose respect for him. We have a great time together and he is really good w/ my daughter. The thought of telling him to leave breaks my heart, but I can not support a man! I was not brought up this way! Why am I putting up with this?

because you let him get away with not paying anything you have been paying the bills for so long now he has gotton use to it.I'm not going to tell you to dump him because you wont cause you love him. goodluck

You put up with it because he is serving some need that you have, be it a need for companionship, or a need to try to help "better" him because you love him. It's time for a little "tough love," though. You have to start loving you more than you love him. Your daughter's watching. Tell him that he's gonna hafta go, because this is a team effort, and he's not doing his part.
