How do I take a firewall down on limewire or morpheus so I can download again?

I have limewire and Morpheus, It is blocking me from downloading because of a firewall (windows possibly). But I stopped the Windows firewall and dont have firewall software. What do i do?

if you don't have a firewall installed or if your using the windows firewall just configure the Internet connection firewall, then click the exception bar, click the program you want to permit to receive connection from web.. hope you fix it!!

First of all, firewall is very important, you may keep it on and use Limewire as long as you have it on your exceptions list. Also check if the network you use has forbidden you to use any form of sharing program as some networks do nowadays to prevent spyware.

What antivirus are you using? Some, like Norton, have features like Internet Worm Protection which are firewalls. Try disabling Internet Worm Protection. If that solves the problem, you can enable it and change the settings to allow what you want.
