I think it doesn't really matter as long as you're financially stable and able to give them everything they need/want...if you're going to have to get on welfare for being pregnant then you need to wait a while. Don't plan a baby if you cant afford them

There is no best age to have a baby. After 35 the risks of problems with the pregnancy increase. If you are ready and financially stable and able to care for the baby then I say go for it. I had my first young I was only 19, then another when I was 30 and the third when I was 31.
I think there are good points to both having a child when you are younger and having one when you are older having been through both.

Well it is definitely not too late to have a baby at 25. I say go have fun while you can. I remember the days when my husband and I would watch a TV show on a Friday night about a really cool new amusement park and we would just wake up on the next day and hop in the car and go. It was a blast! Those days are way over, now I have nap schedules to think about, diaper bags, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to make, messes to clean up, rear ends to wipe, etc... You didn't say if you were in a committed relationship or not, but if you are then I would just let it happen when it happens. I had my first at 29 and my second at 34. It really worked out well, and I adore my kids but I'm glad I had my 20's to play! :-)

I think it all depends where in life you are now. I would suggest you accomplish as much as you can before having a baby. Like school, establishing a good place to live, and possible good career. I just had my baby in March 2006 and I am 23. I have not completed my school, and have no job right now. Luckily for me I have my husband who provides for us and is very responsible. Also, keep in mind that with a baby, night life is over... at least for the first 6 or 7 months. I now think I could have waited another year or two. GOOD LICK!

your at a great age to have a baby. These days the age for having babies is increasing drastically. There is nothing wrong with having a baby at 40 or anything don't get me wrong but if your ready and mature and think you can handle it GO FOR IT :)

I think the best time to have a baby is when you're stable and financially ready to take care of the child. It's hard if you don't have you self together.

does he ever want a baby? Be clear on that first... i think 26 is better. My (single) life was still peaking at 24...wait another year or so.

You're the right age to do it. A woman's fertility decreases by as much as 50% at 27.

i had a baby at 20. then again i was unwed (not good) and didn't stay w/ the father (was good - better off w/o him). i'd say your best bet is to make certain that the guy you are w/ is Christian and that you are certain he's "the one" for you and having a baby is something the both of you should decide is the right thing to do and when.
