2 1/2 years. It's no fun, but the results are well worth the pain.

The dentist said one and a half years but of course it took longer. I had mine on for about 2 years.

well it depends on howe bad your teeth are. But most people have them on for like about 3 or 4 years.

I only had mine for 9 months. But my orthodontist was very.......um, evil?! He tightened them so much each time that I couldn't eat anything for the next three days because I was in so much pain. Even my teeth touching together made me want to cry! But yeah, because he tightened them so much each time, I only had them on for 9 months before my teeth were perfect.

The average is two years if you do not miss any appointments and follow all the instructions you are given(elastic wear, etc.). It depends on your case though.

2 and 1/2 years....a long time when you're a teenager, but it was worth it!

Still have them, doc says I'll get them off in a month or two. That makes it 13-15 months. (Lucky me)
