It's just different. Turbulence can be scary but other than that it's like sitting in your living room.

And I don't have a fear of flying, I do however, have a fear of crashing. Peace.

Relax, it's really cool to fly.

I just want you to know that I can't ride roller coasters either and flying isn't like that. I mostly get scared being in the hands of the flight crew way up there in the air and not having control over any of it, all closed in and no where to escape, and turbulents are unsettling. I just pray, put myself in God's hands, know I have lived my life the best I could and if I die in a plane crash then everything was going to be okay.

OMG I love flying. The first time I flew on a plane I threw up in the airport I was so nervous because my friends were telling me that you have this roller coaster feeling and I also hate roller coasters. And I finally got on and it went fast for not even 10 seconds I bet. You don't even rele get that lurch feeling in your stomach because theres only about 2 seconds of the "fast" part then the rest your just sailing in the air.

Here's a simple way to know what it feels like. Find a very strong chair -- a wooden chair with 4 stout legs -- and get a strong friend or two to help with this experiment. Sit in the chair, lean back and relax, and then close your eyes. Keep your eyes closed. Have your two friends VERY SLOWLY tilt the chair back on it's back two legs until you're almost lying on your back... and then, after a minute, have them slowly tilt you forward again until you are sitting upright. Now, open your eyes. This is very much what it will feel like as the jet takes off. When you're taking off but still on the runway and can look out the window, you'll feel like you're moving very fast. But as the airplane ascends, higher and higher, the feeling of speed will lessen, even though you're moving much faster the higher you get. But there is nothing to be afraid of. It's much safer than even riding in your car. But it's also a lot more fun to see what you can see!

Don't worry about the flight....takeoff feels like you are driving in the car..then next thing u know u r on an incline and airborne...if u don't like knowing how fast you are going try not to look out the window while u are takingoff...the plane u r flying is very nice, and pilots have to go through alot to become an airline pilot, you are in good hands.

Flying is nothing compared to roller coasters. im affraid of heights but i love flying, dont get scared from what im about to say because it will most likely happen during lift off and landing. during take off, u will get pushed back into ur seat alittle, once u take off, it will feel like ur going down from a feeling in ur tummy, do not think ur going down because u are actually still going up. during landing u will feel the same, but u are going down but its because the polits are making plane go down, nothing bad at all, its really fun actually, views are great if no clouds.

Taking off feels like your accelerating in you car really fast, and when the plane actually lifts off, it feels like your in an elevator in a car accelerating real fast. After the first minute, it feels somewhat like you are on a ship (slight bumps and jolts, but nothing big). If you don't hit severe turbulence, you should be fine.
