If you can't paint it, try doing a fabric treatment on the ceiling. Measure the ceiling, head to the fabric store and pick out some cool fabric. It would be easier to buy some thin wood, apply the fabric to the wood with a stable gun or hot glue and then nail it to the ceiling. That way it is easy to take down when you move.

guy this would be a humorous element to ask your landlord. i'm assuming which you reside on the brink of different persons because you're in an house. So I doubt the pals want the consistent loud sound of a heavy bag being hit persistently. The ceiling will no longer be stable sufficient for a one hundred pound bag. there is not any way it may take care of it except your ceiling is made up of concrete. i do no longer think of that a conveyable bag holder will artwork properly sufficient for a one hundred lb bag. you will choose some thousand lbs of weight to maintain that bag up and to immobilize it from annoying punching. good success nevertheless

I saw a basement ceiling once that was covered in woven mats. They came from Pier One and were like 3' x 5', stapled up.

I used to work for Porter paint and what i did was buy white ceiling paint and add glitter (that is made to go in paint) to paint my ceilings with.. It reminds you of being under the stars at night. It is easy to paint over and your land lord will not complain. I have sooo many of my friends tell me that they love it...

depending on your lease,if you can not paint, try taking sheer fabrics and draping them from the ceiling center to the walls. Longer panels can be used where there is a window for instant matching curtains as well.

Try fabric, staple it to the ceiling. I had a room mate that did it to our ceiling once, it was kinda cool.

If you are renting why are you upgrading your landlords property anyway. If it is that bad why not consider moving to a decent apartment? If you threaten to move maybe the landlord will do something about it to keep you there. It worked for me once.
