Why did he make cockroaches?!

I think at one point humans were extremely hairy back in 'the day'. So as we didn't need it anymore, those hair genes shut off a lot, and now we are more succeptible to bites from insects.
I doubt God made them just to annoy us. They're an important part of the food chain for birds and other animals/reptiles. I think a better question would be 'why did God make us and other beings dependant on a food source in the first place...."?

So they could "bug" us. I stayed with family in Wisconsin near a lake in Summertime...where they are the state bird...and I never wish to see these creatures again. I fled for my life. I never knew they grew so large...or so pesky in numbers. The "OFF" spray (insect repellent) became my favorite perfume...I can't tell you how great that made me feel.
I became leery of simple things...such as light at nighttime...in general, it wreaked havoc during my stay. I felt traumatized. I looked as tho' I had the measles or something...not very nice. Maybe God made them just for me, and this whole thing is all my fault-sniff. I may have been very bad in a past life...or perhaps I marched as a soldier in the war against mosquitoes...you know, "Karma". :)

Two reasons:
1. So we will know who eats all the bananas. Mosquitos love to munch on people who munch on bananas.
2. So they can get stuck in tree sap resin that will someday become amber. They are collecting our blood for some purpose, maybe so someday someone can make clones of us, eh?
