You don't sound fat.
Don't do anything goofy to lose weight too fast. The most you should lose in a week is 3 pounds according to the nutrition experts.
Just wear the outfits that make you look your trimmest for the first few weeks and start exercising. Maybe walk to school while the weather is nice. That way, you won't have to cut back too much on the eating.
In place of the ice cream, I'd recommend frozen yogurt which tastes just as good but is low fat.

You need two things. Good diet and good exercise. For your exercise, You need to JOG, JOG and JOG. Don't worry about jogging too slow or within a time limit. Just work on your own pace, or do any exercise that gets you in a good sweat. As for diet, it's good that you're a vegetarian BUT you need to keep it balanced. The disadvantage is you may tend to eat more carbohydrates like rice and mashed potatoes, which makes you gain weight easily. So you should cut down on your carbs and make more room for veggies with protein. Like most people, changing your diet might be hard, so it all depends on HOW BAD you want to lose the extra pounds. I'm a little older than you, around 5ft9 150 pounds. So, I really think you're in the okay.

One thing that will help is to cut down on the cheese and ice cream and balance alternate days between aerobic exercise (biking, running, treadmill. . .) and resitance training (weights or using your own body weight with exercises like lunges and squats). If you already exercise, then you can try an hour a day, but it's not advisable to start fast. Crash diets are horrible. Shocking your body is not good. Start off with 1/2 hour of exercise and increase it a few more minutes each day. Oh! I notice lots of vegetarians eat a lot of fried food. That's a biggie. Avoid the fried food. Eat more vegetables than the bready products and try making the grains/breads/rice you eat whole (brown rice, whole grain pasta. . .). And it's very important to drink at least 8 glasses of bottled water a day. You'll be on your way.

You are 5 foot 9 inches and you weigh 120 pounds..... okay.... so, you are stick thin right now. You are probably not getting enough protein that your body needs, being that you are not eating meat or chicken or fish. So, my answer to you is that you need to think long and hard about your health right now, as you need the proper nutrients and protein for your body and your brain to learn and grow, as you are still growing and are only 16. if you want to lose weight properly, you need to get the right amount of protein, along with vegetables, and cut out all sugar and carbohydrates. and drink only water and no fruit jucies.

Dude! you don't need to lose weight at all! If you are a vegetarian and all you eat are ice cream and cheese my advice to you is cut back on those 2 things I know they have lots of fat in them.
I still say you don't EVEN need to worry about it because I am 4'9" and about that much. Plus I start August 30th go to my old school for 3 days then transfer to Durant Oklahoma! way more stress to need to lose 30lbs than you!

You're 5'9'' and 120 pounds and you think yo're fat? Or is that your target weight?

If that's your real weight, you don't need to lose weight.

If that's your target weight, you can't lose a lot of weight fast. You have to work at it for several months. Exercise a lot and don't eat junk food. Also, don't overeat.

You could stop eating or accept the fact that you cannot loose a significant amount of weight in 4 days. You actually sound kind of skinny.
