It's not worth the risk. Try natural methods instead -- color enhancing shampoo or hair mascara...

The doctors say you shouldn't dye your hair during pregnancy, although I have before and so have a couple of people I know and everything has been fine. They are basically worried about inhaling the chemicals, like they are about cleaning chemicals, so as long as you're in an aired out place, i don't see any harm in it.

I am inclined to say NO. It's best to err on the safe side. When I was pregnant with my 2 kids, I was anal about anything I ate or anything that entered my body, whether throught the head, skin or anything I ingested. If you absolutely need to do it, wait until after the first trimester. However, it is best to consult with your Obstetrician, as he/she may have a diferent opinion and is best qualified to advise you.

NO, it is not safe at all. DO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR IF YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!!! some of the chemicals in hair dye can seep into the body and you don't want that kind of stuff getting in touch with the baby.

Absolutely. Don't let anyone say that chemicals will soak through your skin and get into your blood stream, that is just retarded. The only reason many stylists don't recommend it is because sometimes hormones may change your hairs ability to absorb the color, and it would be a waste of your money, or you may not get the color you were trying for.

Talk to your stylist about it.

It is safe. Most doc's would recommend that you wait until the 2nd trimester, also make sure you are in a well ventilated area and that your stylist knows your pregnant. I worked for 4 yrs for a OB/GYN practice and we got this question alot. Hope it helps!

Please don't. Any chemical you introduce to your body the baby also has to live with. Read up on it. Just wait until you deliver......that's when you might want to feel better and do a hair and nail job.

Good Luck.....

You'd better not to. Of course, if you care about your baby?
