My friend is torn. She has been seeing this guy for about a month and a 1/2. People are always giving them grief, and I am trying to give her some other peoples opinions. In our lil' group of friends it is 2-1, and her undecided. He is real good to her and they are too cute together. Whats your input? Does age really matter? What problems could it cause?

No, age doesn't matter as long as there both of age and there having fun, then go for it. Don't let societies imaginary shackles get in the way.

no it is not wrong. As far as love goes age doesn't matter. As far as life goes it might. I'm 54, and I don't want any more children, a 28 year old woman might want at least one. Then there are the end of life issues. If she treats him like he's in his 20's or 30's she will kill him. If she treats him like an older gent she might have him around for 30 or 40 years. These are things that lovers with an age gap have to consider. I wish you and her the best of luck. Keep me posted.

Wow ... and I thought my relationship was a bit of a stretch.

There are two considerations here, one major, one minor.

Major: How old is your friend? 19 and 45 is a huge difference. She doesn't even know what it means to be a woman yet.

Minor: Unless she's just playing around, she needs to evaluate if 1)this man is unusually healthy and 2)how she is going to feel being alone (after he dies) for much of her more elderly years?

The Major consideration is a bit of a show stopper. But if your friend is of a reasonable age, then there are no "right/wrong" answers. She needs to decide what compromises she is willing to accept later in life in order to have this particular pleasure now.

Does she fix him milk'n'cookies???? Come on! 26 years older. What the He_l is wrong with her????? They look "cute together" like Mother and son. When she gets old and things bag and sag,he's not going to want to see that. As they walk by people will say" Oh! a Boy Toy! She must have money....."

well...having children could be a factor...but if they love each other than they shoudln't turn there backs on it because of what other people think.
