First of all, let's clear up some misconceptions. You ask if it's wrong to be friends with people who use drugs. I don't think it's wrong in the moral sense, but practically speaking, it's easy to be influenced into the drug habit. It can start with marijuana and lead to stronger stuff like crack or opium. It's good that you recognize the fact that your friends are good people, and that they are too young to be experimenting with junk. However, the fact that you are just a wee bit curious as to what it's like, makes me nervous, wondering whether your curiosity will get the better of you, and encourage you to try it. Marijuana, or "weed", as you call it, can give you a high. But it can lead to more serious stuff, and I'm sure you're smart enough to know what I'm talking about without my having to go into detail. If you can stay clean even while associating with people who do drugs, then you have great willpower and moral character. Personally, I have never smoked mj or done drugs -- the smell alone of someone else smoking is enough to make me sick. But getting back to your original question -- it's not wrong to be friends with drug users as long as you can stay clean and try to educate them to the potential dangers they're doing to themselves. Are you up for that? I hope so, dear, because you sound like a sweet person. Don't let them drag you down.

Hey,
I feel for you! Nobody should ever get involved in that kind of stuff! You are going to be so sorry if you get into it! You'll go to rehab (or worse). If you do drugs your looks will disappear you will turn gray and ugly! Once you try it you can't stop! Whatever you do don't do it!
Have you ever thought of robbing a convenience store? or a bank? well if you get hooked you won't think about anything you'll just act and if that sound like fun it's not you'll end up going to prison.
My advice? These kids aren't your friends anymore. I am really sorry to say this and I know you probably had great times with them but if they are doing it all they care about now is getting you to do it! They don't care anymore just take my word and find some good people who aren't doing the uncool thing!

Weed has been around since forever and it is an herb that grows naturally in some places but most people grow it. What they get is a buzz that makes them feel better about themselves for a while but then when they come down all their problems and stuff are still there. You don't have to have a problem to smoke weed. People do it mainly for recreation. Just because you smoke week doesn't make you a bad person just a highon!!

this is how i got started smoking weed, my girlfriend and friends got high all the time so I decided to try it out, then I tried it again and again and again, then I smoked weed for 5 years got high several times a day and killed lots of brain cells now I've been drug free for 8 years. It was fun but not worth the risk of being caught. It is illegal afterall and you can mess your future plans up if you get caught up in it. Id stay away from it if I were you, find some friends who don't smoke weed.

The fact that you wonder what it's like is the exact reason why it's wrong to be friends with people that smoke and do drugs. They will influence you to do it also and that's not a good thing. Of course they're nice and good people. They've just made some very bad choices as you can tell. And if you follow that last thought, so will you!

It's not wrong but it is a bad idea because you could end up like them. No ambition to succeed or even live a happy quality full-filled life. Drugs make people not care about anything anymore other than finding a way to get their next fix. Ten years from now you will have a college degree and a career. They will be working a minimum wage job if lucky and have health problems.

I wouldn't consider it wrong to be friends with them but you have to be aware of the implications that may arise. Such as, being with them if they did something to get caught by the law. You will get in trouble just by being with them. I'm sure they are 'good people' as i have a friend myself that smokes. Usually some people who smoke 'weed' will end up doing other drugs at some point. Now don't get me wrong, i didn't say EVERYONE will but why do something that will lower your inhibitions(like alcohol) and regret later what you did? It's best not to start. Be strong and don't let anyone(especially your boyfriend) talk you into something you will regret later in life. Real friends wouldn't talk you into it.Look it up on the web and see what long term use will do to your body.

It's not wrong, just that it ain't gonna look good for you to be hanging around with them, people gonna think that you doing weed as well.... Then again, this is a question for you to answer, how long before you start yourself? Peer pressure, the BF..... I have friends that smoke, drink and everything else but I choose to stay clean but sooner or later, I just couldn't associate with them anymore...

do not listen to that idiot (the first answer).
Marijuana is a drug that kills brain cells and makes people act stupid.
I have been in your shoes though. My high school boyfriend used to smoke pot all the time. I finally had enough of it and told him if he had to do that he couldn't do it anywhere near me.
Drugs are illegal. They are so for a reason.
They mess you up and make you do stupid things.
It is up to you to be friends and hang out with people who do it but just know that if they ever get caught with it and you are with them, you will get in trouble too.
Be strong and stay away from that stuff. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders! Stick to your guns!!
Good luck!

Weed is not a drug. Weed has been here ever since the beginning of time. The Bible says that God created all seed-bearing plants, which is exactly what weed is. There are more health benefits of weed that are becoming more widely known everyday.
