My suggestion is to call him puppy for a couple of months, or even longer. And when you get to know his personality better give him a name that truly fits him. It's pretty hard to guess what name will fit him while he is still a puppy. I think my pets would have much different names if I would have done that myself.

I think it depends on the type and looks of the dog. We have a small pup and we cal lit muffin because it is quite fluffy and is brown like a bran muffin. If it is a small dog, I don't think you would want to call it Buster or Rex. Elvis is nice.

Best name is the name you choose. Maybe of a pretend friend or something that reminds you of him. If he chews everything maybe you want to call him Chewy or something.
