I have both The persian is much more gentle and laid back. Very gentle and likes to be lap cats and petted. they do require more care they need monthly baths and daily combing.Siamese are active loveable and very smart cats. I have owned many siamese and persians. I have yet to see a mean siamese..I myself prefer the siamese.

I would go with siamese because they were bred to be loyal. They are very vocal, but it's kind of nice. I have a half siamese and he is an awesome cat.

I would urge you to take a look at a shelter or adoption agency instead of going to a breeder. First you will be saving a life. Second, a lot of purebred animals have medical problems because of inbreeding. And last you can still get a mix of the persian or siamese.

The best cat I have ever had was a yellow tabby and I have had several. Siamese are very loud and demanding, Persians are too intellectual. I think you need to go get one from the pound, you can save a life and enjoy doing it!

If I had to choose, probably siamese. I've encountered several Siamese and all of them were pretty friendly. Especially one that lived in a shop in Mississippi.

On the other hand... I've never encountered any Persians, so this isn't a completely unbiased answer. :)

I've heard that Siamese cats can be really feisty and aggressive. Hence the mean cats in 101 Dalmations...

But Persian are really hairy so make sure you are not allergic first.

depends on what you want in a cat...siamese tend to be a little mouthy, persians tend to be a little snotty, but I have found that some of the best cats are plain old shelter cats. there you can play with different ones and find one that you instantly connect with. different cats have different personalities just like people do....some are outgoing, some arent, some are aloof and some arent so on and so forth

I have Persians. Most have health problems resulting in expensive vet bills. Flat faced Persians are mutants and have many eye, nose and teeth problems due to selective appearance breeding. They require constant attention and care. Mine are very difficult eaters. They need combing or the fur will mat.

If you have alot of time and money this is the breed for you!

I would personally want a persian because siamese have that really annoying meow that gets on my nerves.
