at 14 , you might want to find a friend that want to help you with your goal, maybe they could use some better eating and exercise routines , too. Ask some of your friend if they could do some exercise ,like walking or biking with you 3 times a week for at least 30 min. Start a food diary, write down what you eat, then look at it after a week and decide for yourself what you could start cutting back, eat smaller portions of the foods you just cannot turn down .I'm sure you know what kind of foods are healthier then others. Ask your mom to help you with that, see if you could help her cook up some healthy meals. If you do these kind of things with someone else that can encourage you, it will help you to stay on your plan. Also do little steps, both in changing your eating habits and your exercise, then work to more and more healthy living. Reward yourself with some new make-up or a new shirt, when you reached a goal.

You just have to get motivated enough and tired of looking the way you do. You being so young, need to start early to like the way you look. Dont focus too much on things that you dislike about yourself because your body is still growing and most likely, you will have a totally different body by time you are my age (22) When I was 14, I gained weight because I was starting to be a woman.. I soon dropped it after I started my first period and Begin to grow taller. If you want to diet right now, I would diet just to be healthier, not just to loose weight because you see your peers being really thin. If you are going to try a diet, seventeen magazine always has a great meal plan and tips for people your age. There are also great exercises tips and tips for people your age.

Eat lots of raw vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean meats. Allow yourself one treat a day.
When you feel snackish, have some whole wheat crackers or a little peanut butter on some whole wheat bread. While processed foods and sugars make us more hungry, proteins and healthy carbs fill us up and give us energy.
Get a water bottle and refill it many times throughout the day.
Find a form of exercise that you enjoy. You couldn't pay me to get on a treadmill, for instance, but I can do martial arts all day. If nothing else start walking-- every little bit helps.
Try taking classes in yoga or dance, you may find something you like.

I would suggest Weight Watchers. The support of going to the meetings and the accountability of "weighing in" really helps. Also, it's a healthy way to diet and is very easy to track how you're doing with the "points" system. Lastly, pretty much every town has at least one chapter. Some schools and businesses even have the meetings on site. It's the only thing that has ever worked for me, and I'm like you....I love to eat and am easily tempted !

The best way is to limit your carbohydrates ( anything that will turn to sugar in your body) While it is easy to say just completely cut out junk food... at 14.... its not likely to be a permanent lifestyle change. Sure you can not eat pizza and potato chips for awhile... but in a week or so your friends will invite you out... and well.... the best way is to limit it. Keep a journal... that way you wont forget that you had Pizza with your friends on Wednesday and now that it is Friday ice cream is out of the question. You might also want to consider diet sodas... no added sugar ice cream and cookies.... it will give you that something sweet you crave... without the extra sugar....

Do fun exercise, like sports or walk a dog or find some friends and just walk around the block a few times. The south beach diet is probably the healthiest. Just don't cut out any food groups. At your age, it can mess you up for the rest of your life.

I think the best diet for you would be manly fruits and veggies, but u can still have meat and desserts occasionally. Try to exercise by jogging or biking, or doing yoga. Don't eat too much junk food, a little would be okay.Stay away from fried foods.Hopefully if u do this, u will be a lot slimmer.

It is hard. I know personally. Try giving yourself a goal. Such as if I lose 5 pounds. I'll reward myself with a manicure or a new top. Setting goals keep you motivated. Also try dieting or exercising with a friend. It also helps make it more fun and motivating. Good luck. But do it the healthy way.
