I am having trouble getting into Canada. Have you had to wait for so long to get papers? I've been waiting for 5 months

Be patient...Canada is worth the wait. Our health care program is second to none - nobody goes without medical care here. Our education system is excellent, we have a low crime rate, and this country is clean, beautiful, and full of friendly, polite people! I think you'll like it here :-)

I think poor Lisa needs a wake up call.. our health care is sh!t you pay out your nose for it.. everything you buy you pay a ridicules amount of tax on so you can get so called "free health care" (just so you know Lisa the U.S. has this lovely little law that no matter what you always receive health care... believe it or not they wont turn you away at a hospital and say "too bad you don't have health care!") This poor girl is just another example of Canadian brainwashing!
As far as education... all I have to say is this country has been voting Liberal for YEARS.. that tells you right off most people here are not all that bright.. (tho shaping up cause they did vote in Harper)
We also have a large population of not so friendly people.. just look up what has been going on in Toronto Ontario lately... gangs, drive by shootings etc.
As far as waiting.. I have been in the process of getting my papers to the U.S. for a year and a half so get comfy.. it might be awhile!

Canada isn't at 0% unemployment. They need to put their own citizens first. It's a bit "American arrogant" to believe they should respond to a request to immigrate on your time table.

5months is that all... the paper work that my husband and I will be submitting take over 7-8months to be looked at. Some people wait years.... it is the government they don't rush.

Depends on what you submit and where you submit it to.

there is a section in the canadian website that gives processing times based on what type of application. www.cic.gc.ca

why go to Canada? you can find everything there right here in the US. theyre practically the same place. honestly though, if you do immigrate there, stay an alien and don't give up your US citizenship. its priceless.

US kicks ***. Unless you are a draft dodger and/or a pot head. Then you probably would be better off in Canada.

I heard the wait is several years. Why would you leave the US anyways?

Why would you want to immigrate to our 51st state?
