As far as where to go for info about immigrating to a new country, you should first decide on where, then contact that countries embassy for information. As far as your choices on where to go you might be a little limited. I know alot of European countries have restricted immigration. In some countries you can move there but you'll never be able to be a citizen (ie, Germany). Most of the developed countries of the world make it pretty hard to immigrate. Unless you have a specialized skill/career they really don't want you. Canada might be an option, I heard they have an open immigration policy but I'm not for sure. Good luck on your search.

I'm Canadian but we have a Conservative Gov. right now, and our young people are dying in Afghanistan because our Prime Minister is so far up GWB's butt, they are wearing the same necktie. You shouldn't renounce your US citizenship because it gives you so many priviledges comared to any other country. You travel visa-free to most of the world!
If you are serious, which I doubt, you can find out where your ancestors came from and try to obtain that type of citizenship.
If you are eurotrash like me, they'll take you back.
