How old do you have to be to work there? I've heard 17 and I've heard 18.

Technically you have to be 16 to apply or be considered, but they really won't hire you unless you are 18 because they want you to have a flexible schedule (i.e. no school unless you're working around a college schedule).

It might depend on state laws - the national age is 16 unless you're working in your parent's store or are a papercarrier, etc. However, I have a friend who lives in California whose daughter worked there after school and she was 17 at the time. They definitely will not allow you to work any hours that conflict with school hours

It all depends what state you are in best thing to do is call a local starbucks give it a try

I would think it would be based on state labor laws. If you want to know then go to your local starbucks and ask the manager.
