I think you'll find that this sympton is called "Stripping".
Go find his feathers and stick 'em together and make them into a little coat for him with little arms and everything.
Thanks for chearing me up after being cheared up with the 'Fish in a tank watching war films' and then being depressed by the 'snowmen in a field smelling carrots'....now you've cheared me right back up!

you have every right to be concerned, am not very impressed with the answers given so far. There are two reason why this has happened, 1/ if the parrot is a female, its very short of Calcium and on the verge of laying, (need calcium for the shell) males can be in this condition too, in which case it can point in one of two directions, Lack of Calcium, or the bird has a disease called feather & beak desease. In Australia we call this condistion "Going light" and theres not much you can do except visit a vet, or if you wish to treat the bird yourself make sure there is plenty of Cuttle fish avaleable, or better still a few drops of Cod liver oil in a cup of seed, mix well then mix in some powdered cuttle fish, this will stick to the oil on the seed and he'll have to eat it, ----- Best of luck from Australia

Parrots can suffer from weak feather glue. Try sticking each feather back with Stiktite.

If your parrots feathers haven fallen off it may have a dease of some sort. You may want to take it to a vet right away...it may die.

Could your bird have picked all the feathers off itself? If so, it's a common way for birds to deal with different psychological issues. Different emotions like boredom, loneliness, or anxiety can cause many birds to self-mutilate.

No coats that I am aware of. You might want to get it checked out. sometimes mites cause this.
